Can't wait for the next book

I haven't left a review in quite sometime but this book and the one before it were both amazing and had me hooked. The only disappointment I have is that book three isn't out yet. If you've listen to the first one definitely pick this up. If your considering starting this series I can say that you will thoroughly enjoy it if you like fantasy mixed with RPG elements. Now to wait for book three.

The same quality I've come to expect

I've listened to a few series by this Author or collaborations they've done. And this has a similar quality. If you look at my history and notice all the five stars. I'm not paid to do this. I'm just careful with what I buy. I can't afford to waste money or credits. with anything less.

This was a beginning of a journey

I noticed this book in a few book stores and decided to pick it up here. The narrator does an amazing job differentiating a large cast. And the author crafted something that subtle pulls you in slowly until your lost in the story. And than it will end. And you'll crave what's next. I have no comparison in other books I've read. Just know if you want to experience a story you won't be disappointed with this one.

I was referred this book by a friend of mine (Hi Bethany) it's in my genre of interest but I likely wouldn't have listened to it so soon had it not been for her. I loved it. if you enjoy a thriller with characters that develop as the story progresses you'll love this!

A journey

I don't normally write a review. Just give some stars and move on to the next story. But this was a journey. At least for me. The narrator was perfect in my opinion. And the story kept me all the way through. I would find myself slightly disappointed when I had to stop for work or sleep. It's not for everyone. But if you want to close your eyes and get lost in a story. This would be a very good choice.

Not what I was expecting

I don't normally write reviews. If I like a book. it gets a rating and I move on. However in this case I wanted to note that. I was very entertained by this book. I'm not sure what others were expecting. There is just enough detail to get you to the main plot of the story and than the story reads like an adventure from several view points. What I disliked was the main character misreading the other characters so badly that almost to the end he was misreading people's intentions or their actions. Maybe write that off as the main character coming from a different time. But if you don't mind some really light world building and a guy winging it and getting really lucky than you should enjoy this.

Love it!

I love this book even more than the previous one. I don't know what it is maybe it's in my inner D&D player that never gets to come out. Or the part of me that yearns for adventure. But I just burned through this book faster than I do books half this length. You'll get more adventure more new core members and one person who is just a dick. I can't wait for the next book to come out and see what happens next!

Way better than I was expecting

I wasn't sure what to expect as I've come off some other fantasy genre novels and had picked this one up on a sale. The voice acting is well done and helps keep you immersed in the story. You may get slightly thrown off at first from the perspective the story is being read from but I got used to it quickly. Overall I am very interested in seeing where this story goes in the following books and recommend definitely recommend giving this a listen.

Better than expected

Overall this was pretty good. I wasn't sure what to expect from a movie prequel book but this wasn't it. It had me coming back and overall I really liked it.

Never hire a crazy serial killer

So by this point anyone reading this has either read the other books well listened in this case. Or is being really thorough in their research. As usual this book is good but I do have one caveat. It might be me but in several spots in the book I heard sentences and maybe a whole paragraph of text that seemed pulled from the previous books. It threw me when I got to them as it pulled my mind from this story to the previous ones. The reason I don't dock points for that is because I'm not sure if it's really there or my brain is acting up. In any case I enjoyed this book and am starting on the next one immediately.
