Voice Actors 10/10
Revisado: 11-11-24
I had been meaning to listen to the play for a while, but had I known the voice actors would be this good, I would have done it sooner.

Historia
On the first day of the new year, no one dies. This of course causes consternation among politicians, religious leaders, morticians, and doctors. Among the general public, on the other hand, there is initially celebration - flags are hung out on balconies, people dance in the streets. They have achieved the great goal of humanity: eternal life. Then reality hits home....

A wonderfully Intriguing Story on death
Revisado: 02-01-23
I read a lot of books on Death and the topics of morality, but never one quite like this. They style of writing is quite unique, and does take a bit of attention in order to follow alone. Still, I don’t think I’ll be forgetting this story anytime soon. Without giving any spoilers, Saramago provides many details and separate stories concerning the lack of death and how the human mind might comprehend it. I think the audiobook does a wonderful job of producing a kind of stream of consciousness. Overall, a very interesting listen.
