Very well researched
Exceptional narration
Nothing but praise 😁
A solid introduction to contemporary Chinese history and politics.
Professor Baum is obviously passionate about China. Coupled with an innate ability to summarize and condense an otherwise challenging subject.
I was just hoping to listen to it in my spare time but ended up finishing it in a week.
Professor Baum manages to conclude each chapter, leaving the listener wanting proceed to the next chapter.
RIP Richard Baum.

Sexual orientation is personal. No one ought to be forced into a classification. This lack of being able to accept a classification however, can be frustrating for some. & some people spend their whole lives trying to figure it out.
This book is a good introduction but the last "test" part seems to defeat the purpose of the book which was introduced as an attempt to challenge mainstream perception and expectations of sexual orientation.

Doctor Zhivago, a man in a relationship with 3 different women but committed to none. Has to be the most hyped up book I have ever read.
BUT have to give the author and translators the due credit for coming up with the best apocalyptic description of a post revolution and anarchist led society.
