Historia
In the magic-soaked capital city of Oluwan, Small Sade needs a job—preferably as a maid, for employers who don’t mind her unique appearance and unlucky foot. But before she can be hired, she accidentally binds herself to a powerful being known only as the Crocodile, a god rumored to devour pretty girls. Small Sade entrances the Crocodile with her secret: She is not only an orphan and an aspiring maid, but also a Curse-Eater, gifted with the ability to alter people’s fates by cleaning their houses.

A beautiful story of Self Determination mixed with magic 😊
Revisado: 09-14-24
This was such a lovely series about Sade as she navigates life as an orphaned child who suffers multiple tragic incidents that leaves her scarred physically, mentally and emotionally.
Despite all of this, she is determined to make living in her world. Although she’s often cast aside because she suffers from vitiligo and a deformity; she has a power that allows her to cleanse harmful spirits and uses that to gain her a job with a wealth family in her African village.
While she’s working, she is approached by a magical gecko whose sweeps her into an entanglement with the fearsome Crocodile God; but he isn’t who is seems to be.
Uuuuugggggh this was such a great story about self discovery, perseverance and love. I will have to purchase physical copies bc it was so fulfilling (the audible narrator is AMAZING!)
This book is the third book of Jordan’s Raybearer series which I also loved. We learn more about some our beloved characters from that series, specifically Juri. *Wink*😉

The Narrator and Story had me hooked!
Revisado: 08-26-24
This is the second book of the series and it did not disappoint! Although I was frustrated with Morgan’s choices many times, I understood that all she wanted to was her brother continued love and loyalty as she has always given him.
But no longer will Morgan stand idle waiting for her brother, King Arthur, to reciprocate what she’s given to him.
This book is A LOT of heart break and I cried and cursed many times, but I loved it.
The narrator is TOP TIER!!
Can’t wait for book 3!

I’m wondering if the wild seed series is the aftermath of Octavia’s Xenogenesis series. Where a new world is made with a stronger human species with after the forced alien/human DNA integration 🤔

It follows Morgan from childhood through queendom. She’s a strong female MC that you watch grow into her own. I loooooovvveeeeddd this!

I’m conflicted 😆
Revisado: 04-18-24
For the first 4 hrs of the book I was completely confused about what was going on. But after hour 4, things started to click into place and I was able to understand more of what is going on.
I’m conflicted because alien sex felt WEIRD to hear about and the relationship between the humans and aliens I still can’t comprehend. IT DEFINITELY makes you feel uncomfortable but also you relate to the need of human survival.
This book is just WEIRD. 😅 but now I’m invested in the story and this one ended on a cliff hangar and epiphany for the main character so I will read the second book.
This is a post-apocalyptic earth/alien invasion story. Humans have all but destroyed themselves and Earth with nuclear war when some alien life form swooped in to save whom they could and brought the surviving humans aboard their ship that hovers near Earth’s moon.
The aliens have placed the humans in suspended animation as they study their biology in their “claimed” attempt to save humanity. The suspended animation significantly slows the aging process and so far has lasted over 200 years. But why? Apparently these alien life forms have lost their galaxy and are looking for a way to save themselves too. In that process they have found themselves compatible with humans.
The rest of the book is exploring this conundrum of humans and aliens repopulating earth to save both species…Human morality and fear vs survival.
The narrator is awful, too much whisper talking, odd pauses and breathing. It felt overly dramatic in the first few hours of the book and I almost quit. It felt like the narration leveled out or maybe I just became accustomed to it. LOL the storyline saved the narration of this book.

Soledad’s story was amazing
Revisado: 04-14-24
I loved this second iteration of Kennedy Ryan’s series. The voice actors were amazing and all I can say is Juuuuuuuudddddddaaaaahhhhh! Good lord that is a fine ass man lmao!
I also loved how Kennedy Ryan wove in her experience with having and child on the Autism Spectrum; the care she took to flesh out Judah’s sons blew me away. I teared up a few times with the realness and rawness of their story writing skills. I think that’s what I love best.

THE NARRATION IS SUBLIME!!
Revisado: 11-15-23
First, hats off to the narrators. It was BEAUTIFULLY done. The emotional complexities were expressed so flawlessly in this audio book 🙌🏾🙌🏾.
I love all of the messages that were built into this book; Love complicated by loss and thick references to the importance that mental provides for the characters development was beautifully done.
I cried, I laughed, I said “oh hell naw” and “Oop!”. It was a nice array of emotional dialogue and it kept me interested.
For those who say it reads like a self help book (on good reads mostly); I’m not sure what you need to process in your life but this was a beautiful story about a family navigating loss and the paths they chose to follow. Each made mistakes and each grew in their own ways.
The SPICE was spiiiiiiiccceeeyyyy. The narrators had me lowering my volume and turning on a fan 😆. It delicately balanced with the actual storyline so I loved it (I can’t stand smut with no plot or storyline).
I see there’s another book for the series and I’m not sure where else this could go, since this ending was so well done. I hope it’s not repeat of Colleen Hoover’s “It Ends With Us” series.
Highly recommend!

The narration quality took a nosedive
Revisado: 10-10-23
I ended up reading this physically because the narration is so robotic it’s distracting! The Narration for the first two books was AMAZING, not sure what happened here! It’s the same person but for some reason the accents are not off for each character and the cadence is robotic.
Also, Paige gets on my nerves! She always makes theses last minute decisions and then us surprised when it doesn’t work like she thought! She doesn’t listen to her companions!!!! Ugggghhhhhhhh
