Historia
Three days before the 1969 Super Bowl, Joe Namath promised the nation that he would lead the New York Jets to an 18-point underdog victory against the seemingly invincible Baltimore Colts. When the final whistle blew, that promise had been kept. Namath was instantly heralded as a gridiron god, while his rugged good looks, progressive views on race, and boyish charm quickly transformed him - in an era of raucous rebellion, shifting social norms, and political upheaval - into both a bona fide celebrity and a symbol of the commercialization of pro sports.

This is a great listen!

I highly recommend it for anyone who loves football and football history, appreciated what The Jets (and thereby, the AFL) accomplished in Super Bowl III, roots for the underdog, loved the period of the late sixties in American lifestyle and popular culture and Broadway Joe's celebrated role in it, or wants to learn more about these things, as well as learn more about Joe's life story. Eloquently written, as well as narrated, by the man himself, in his unique style, this audiobook is a lot of fun.

One harsh winter, Ranjit needs a place to stay, and illegally moves his family into an empty, luxurious vacation home belonging to an African American Senator. Ensconced in the house, he tries to forget his brief affair with Anna, the Senator’s wife, and focuses on providing for his family. Great book, excellently read!
Revisado: 12-30-16
Meaningful on many levels -- politically, socially, psychologically, ethically, regarding government and military matters, and warm (and not so warm) family and love relationships -- being well researched with an intelligent plot development and fascinating characters, and containing twists, turns and exciting buildups of suspense throughout, this is a great book, excellently read! I am looking forward to reading the next book in this series, "The Last Taxi Ride."
