There are many studies out there that support the benefits of a Mediterranean diet, and this book does a good job breaking down the rules this diet requires. This book is good for beginners to the Mediterranean diet but should be noted that it will require great will power and planning to make sure you're able to stay on track. I think once you get used to the requirements, it probably gets easier, but it does sound like a lot of restrictions at first.

The book provides many recipes for each meal. It also gives good advice for how to go about shopping and what to look for on labels as well as what you should ask about when eating out. This book is good for someone whose health is at a dangerous point of pre-diabetes or one with high blood pressure as making the changes recommended will likely cause a quick transformation for the better.

This is a great book for those at risk for Type II Diabetes or high blood pressure. It does a good job going into the science of what's happening in your body when you eat certain foods that can exacerbate these problems. Making simple changes recommended in this book allows many people to notice improvements in as little as two weeks.

In addition to the scientific and lifestyle recommendations, the book also provides a bunch of easy to follow recipes to help those who aren't sure how to implement the DASH diet into their lives. For some people, it could be an extreme adjustment depending on what kind of foods they're used to (like fast food, processed foods, etc.), but the changes recommended here are tangible.

A key theme throughout this book is taking control of your day instead of reacting to it. It offers powerful data and examples of why failure is crucial to success and why not everyone gets there. There are so many great case studies used from very famous, wealthy, and successful people that are clear in pointing out all the opposition they faced early on before making it big.

This book does a good job of helping you identify yourself in the examples and what you can do in your life to truly make a change to improve your wealth and really, overall happiness. It's easy to follow along with and provides instant and long term action items to make your dreams tangible. If you are new to affirmations and pursuing a positive change to your life, this is a great book to use as a resource and it inspires you to start taking the right steps right away.

I had mixed feelings going into this book not having done any prior work on affirmations, but was impressed at the scientific and mature manner in which the material was represented. "An affirmation is not simply a wish" is actually a really powerful realization and the book goes on to support how it does take active, hard working steps to get established in the practice of affirmation. Many great tips are offered in how to best establish a routine of utilizing affirmations and how the more they are practiced, the more you will see your life change. It can sound overwhelming at first when you take into consideration all the steps you must take and things you must remove in your life in order to free your mind, but there is great truth in cleaning out the clutter.

While it did not take away from the content, the audio and Audible chapters did not align. for example, the reader would say "chapter 4" when in fact it was starting chapter 6. Again, it didn't throw off the book, just might make it a little confusing if you weren't paying attention to where you left off.

Overall, this is a great book for people to listen to in how to get our minds into better ways of thinking and was easy to follow along.
