This is one of the most personally relatable books I’ve ever read, with our similar career paths (I be ER jumped out of a perfectly serviceable aircraft but besides that) from military to flight paramedic. Insightful, humourous, engaging and captivating. A great listen!

I normally listen to audio books to fall asleep, and this book was completely useless in that regard.
In every other way, I cannot recommend this one highly enough. The author pulls no punches when it comes to personal accountability, and he tells his story in a raw and unvarnished manner that is rare in the world today. In addition to being deeply introspective and insightful, this book also has moments that are funny as hell, especially if you've spent any time in the military.
This book made me laugh and cry, and made me want to listen to it again. But not when I'm trying to fall asleep.

The WORST narrator ever

This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?
This book might be good for someone who doesn't know or doesn't care at all about the correct pronunciation of places, names, units, acronyms, or even English words.
How did the narrator detract from the book?
Clearly this narrator has no understanding of Canadian military history. And nobody bothered to do any production work to ensure an appropriate standard in the quality of the narration.
