I finally got used to the old narrator. New narrator sounds like she's reading to children. Awful cadence

I love the story, but I can't take it seriously anymore with the new narrator. I feel like I'm a child being read to by my teacher. I have over 130 books in my audible library and this is the first time I've considered not continuing a series because a narrator. I'm more than halfway through this story and I'm fighting to continue. The cadence is bad. the rhythm is terrible. Her only emotion is happy.

The story is somewhat adolescent. The narration makes it even more corny.

The story drags in places with little character development. This is the case with the other books as well, but more so with this one. I wanted to know why Snow turned out to be the monster he is in the earlier books, but that was not really evident in this book. I was also looking forward to learning more about the history of the Hunger games and was disappointed. The story was all over the place, and was lacking in the interesting spots. I actually liked the Hunger Games movies more than the books. I hope the movie to this book is better as well. I won't be buying anymore Suzanne Collins books.

Another negative opinion on voice actor choice

You had it right with the previous book. I loved the voice actors. I enjoy Darrow's voice very much, but it's weird hearing Lysander speak like a hell-diver.

Tulsi Garrbard is the female Tucker Carlson

It's hard to believe Tulsi was a Democrat Congresswoman. She is very well spoken, intelligent, and level headed. I'm not surprised she left the Democratic party. These shows have kept me so engaged on YouTube. I'm thrilled to have found her on Audible! I am always bummed when watching Tucker Carlson clips on YouTube. They're never long enough. Previously, I only went to YouTube to watch him. Now I have both of these interesting people to keep me engaged & interested in the current affairs of our country. Love the show!! Thanks for still allowing dissenting opinions on your app, Audible.

Great book, awful narration

I don't usually write reviews. I've listened to at least 50 books this year, and I can always get used to a narrator if I don't love them at first. The narrator to this book does not compare to Muller. I really hope I can finish the series with the new narrator.

Skyward novellas even better than actual series

I think I've read everything Brandon Sanderson has ever published and this is my first review. This is the first I've heard from Janci but I just love everything about the story, writing style, etc. I would love to read more of this genre by Janci. I wish they would help Sanderson with every single one of his books.

Amazing story, lousy narrative

Out of all of the stories I've listened to on audible, this is the first where the narrator cannot keep my focus. Very monotone. I don't know if I can finish the series if he is reading.

Wonderful books to get lost in while working and doing chores! I loved the first 3 books so much. I am on book 6 bands of mourning. The first 3 were much better than the last 3 but I am invested.
