Historia
Following a remarkable epoch of greater dispersion of wealth and opportunity, we are inexorably returning towards a more feudal era marked by greater concentration of wealth and property, reduced upward mobility, demographic stagnation, and increased dogmatism. If the last 70 years saw a massive expansion of the middle class, not only in America but in much of the developed world, today that class is declining and a new, more hierarchical society is emerging. The new class structure resembles that of Medieval times.

Historia
There’s a new invisible force at work in our economic and cultural lives. It affects every advertisement we see and every product we buy, from our morning coffee to a new pair of shoes. “Stakeholder capitalism” makes rosy promises of a better, more diverse, environmentally friendly world, but in reality, this ideology, championed by America’s business and political leaders, robs us of our money, our voice, and our identity.

Skipped through parts of it. Very little history that gave you a realistic feeling of the brutality of Genghis Khan.

These Old Shades
Revisado: 05-27-17
Narrative is repetitive and lacks meaningful content. Characters are not realistically drawn and the melodramatic reading by Cornelius Garrett is downright annoying. Other reviewers have compared this author to Jane Austen. Such a comparison does a grave disservice to Austen.
