*Halloween Party Murder* feels like it was written for a younger audience, with a straightforward plot and simple storytelling. The audiobook version is even more abridged, reinforcing that elementary-school vibe.

The narration is clear and easy to follow, but it lacks dramatic flair. Instead, it feels like a classroom read-aloud, which might bring nostalgia for some but feel too simplistic for others.

Overall, it’s an easy listen, but not a gripping mystery. If you’re looking for something light and uncomplicated, it might work—just don’t expect much depth or suspense.

The performance was fine but by be the time we got to day two of Alice's little adventure I couldn't stand her anymore. She went past a little pushing to get the hero out his shell to being a nagging pain that made me want to hit my head on a desk. I don’t know if it was just how the person thoughts and dialog combined during the performance that made if feel like it was unending …but it just seemed to go on and on. I had to stop listening.
