Historia
A teen idol at 15, an international icon and founder of the Brat Pack at 20, and one of Hollywood's top stars to this day, Rob Lowe chronicles his experiences. Never mean-spirited or salacious, Lowe delivers unexpected glimpses into his successes, disappointments, relationships, and one-of-a-kind encounters with people who shaped our world over the last 25 years. These stories are as entertaining as they are unforgettable.

I thought this was going to be a guilty pleasure

Where does Stories I Only Tell My Friends rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
One of those books I was going to be embarrassed to admit I had read. I was wrong. This is one of the best autobiographies I've come across in a while. Rob Lowe's life has certainly been interesting. Most memorable for me was the Brat Pack period. I, too, was in my early/mid 20's during the 80's and I remember that time with fondness, how we thought we had it all figured out. I was pleasantly surprised to learn that Rob Lowe is actually quite a gifted storyteller, and his narration is outstanding. His voice is soothing, and his diction is impeccable. I would recommend listening to this book much more so than reading it, as I believe some of the essence would be lost on a mere printed page.

She will not allow another hapless girl to fall prey to a man - particularly the scoundrel who broke her heart five years ago. Anonymously she writes and distributes a pamphlet entitled "Secrets of a Wedding Night," knowing it will find its way into his intended's innocent hands.

What did you like best about Secrets of a Wedding Night? What did you like least?
Light listen, perfect for my short commute to work. The story is predictable, and never had me riveted. I was never sorry I had to shut off my device so I could tend to other things. For me this story was very take-it-or-leave-it... if I found out what happened to the characters in the end, good. If the download had suddenly disappeared from my device, I probably wouldn't have cared. Overall, it was a cute-ish story, and entertaining enough for what it was, but I'll be moving on. The writing was good, easy to follow and understand without being completely dumbed down. The sex scenes were pretty steamy, yet classy. The one thing I could've done without was the narrator's annoying male lead's voice. Worth a credit? Sure, why not, if you have tons to spare.
