It just dragged on and on

The first part, 1/2, was good, but then explanations, more and more people brought in made it tedious. We skipped through a bunch of the last half just get it over.

Random background music annoying

Great story. Someone decided to randomly add background music at different times that does not even fit the story. So annoying!

This story about Francesca just seemed to be extended for the purpose of the sex scenes. So, if you enjoy those, this is your book! Otherwise, not as good as the previous books.

Promising story, but foul language abounds

Started off as a fun story as a newly graduated vet heads off to his first job. His boss is a curmudgeonly old vet. Well, every other word out of the old vet's mouth is Jesus Christ - why? There are so many other swear words that are PG. So, I cannot tell you more about the story.

Continues to disappoint after her marriage

Seems very much like winding down the series. I think the addition of Cyrus a few books back would spark the writer and open new paths. But she leaves Cyrus out of the story, time and again, sigh.

Drama queen women

The narrator is great, but the 2 main characters turn on the drama for the littlest things! So annoying, especially as a female, I am thinking, why the drama, just talk to the man!

Very long character developement

If you’ve listened to books by Marie Bostwick before, how does this one compare?

This is the worst. I loved the Cobbled Court series, but this one just seemed an exercise in character development. More than 2 hours into the book, and I still had no idea what the story was supposed to be. I started skipping ahead just to find the plot.

Poor direction and narration

What disappointed you about Murder, She Barked?

The narrator sounds like she is trying, however, sentences are run together and there are awkward pauses. The story is OK, but the poor direction for the the narrator makes it hard to get into the story.
