Historia
Women can be heroes. When twenty-year-old nursing student Frances “Frankie” McGrath hears these words, it is a revelation. Raised in the sun-drenched, idyllic world of Southern California and sheltered by her conservative parents, she has always prided herself on doing the right thing. But in 1965, the world is changing, and she suddenly dares to imagine a different future for herself. When her brother ships out to serve in Vietnam, she joins the Army Nurse Corps and follows his path.

The Manipulator. I can manipulate the emotions of anyone who lets me. I will make you hurt, make you cry, make you laugh and sigh. But my words don't affect him. Especially not when I plead for him to leave. He's always there, watching and waiting. And I can never look away. Not when I want him to come closer. The Shadow. I didn't mean to fall in love. But now that I have, I can't stay away. I'm mesmerized by her smile, by her eyes, and the way she moves. I'll keep watching and waiting. Until I can make her mine. And once she is, I'll never let her go.

This should be classed as semi-porn romance

This story was very disappointing. Wasted a credit. Tried to stay with it but gave up 1/2 way through. Predictable bodice ripper stuff.

Hungry for more
Revisado: 02-22-16
I very much enjoyed Dreamsongs. It is interesting to hear the history what was happening in an authors life at the time certain stories written the influence that caused it to be written and the results of their effort. But perhaps the most telling for me is the fact that I now wish to learn more read more of George RR Martin's work this was a huge time commitment, and not a moment was wasted

Historia
The last thing Jake Bryan knew was the roar of the World Trade Center collapsing on top of him and his fellow firefighters. The man in the hospital bed remembers nothing. Not rushing with his teammates up the stairway of the south tower to help trapped victims. Not being blasted from the building. And not the woman by his bedside. Jamie Bryan will do anything to help her beloved husband regain his memory, and with it their storybook family life with their daughter, Sierra. But that means helping Jake rediscover the one thing Jamie has never shared with him: his deep faith in God.

I couldn't even finish this
Revisado: 11-07-14
I knew from the first few minutes that I wasn't going to like this book. If I had known it had strong religious content I would not have purchased it to begin with. After 20 minutes I was skipping ahead to see if things got better - they didn't
If you enjoy sappy novels this might be for you
I never appreciated the Audible return policy until now! This one's going back..

Historia
Here is the story of two families, branches of the Solomons, transported to an alien land. Both branches eventually grow rich and powerful. But through three generations, the families never, for one moment, relinquish their hatred for each other. This novel is also the story of Australia, from its beginnings to its coming of age as a nation.

Too much repetition!
Revisado: 12-20-12
I couldn't wait to start Book 3 and, although I'm not half way through it yet, I feel cheated. There is so much time spent repeating the story line from Books 1 and 2 that I feel bored. Let people read the first two books if the story won't be cohesive without that knowledge. Don't make me spend my time and money on a repeat. Disappointed....

Really wonderful, except...
Revisado: 10-25-11
This was a story that captured me from the moment it started. The narration was terrific and the majority of the characters were believable. There were moments when the tension was such I had to turn my iPod off for a bit.
However, I wanted to throttle Lavinia, the female lead character. Really, can anyone be so blind and meek and naive? It took some of the joy away from the book.
