Predictable
Revisado: 12-20-23
It was entertaining. But too much description. Dragged in places and then super fast in others. Not the best one I’ve listened too.

Historia
Thriller writer Mia Kingsley has been hit with a serious case of writer’s block, and she needs a little peace and quiet. A beachfront property in Magnolia Sound seemed like the perfect escape and just the change of scenery she needs to get the words flowing again. That is until her noisy neighbor starts running power tools and blasting music at all hours of the day and night. Before long, the next victim in her story starts to bear an uncanny resemblance to the contractor next door.

Tough to get through.
Revisado: 02-10-21
I’m a fan of Samantha Chase, but this book didn’t do anything for me. I felt annoyed at the way the main character was portrayed. Indecisive, spoiled and just kind of out there. Not sure of the point of this book. Super light listen without a lot of substance. Hoping the next book is better.

I am a Kristin Hannah fan, but hated this book
Revisado: 12-18-20
It was long, tedious and depressing. No thanks. Very disappointed -- such a great writer and this was not her best.

Historia
Jo Marie Rose first arrives in Cedar Cove seeking a sense of peace and a fresh start. She purchases a local bed-and-breakfast - the newly christened Rose Harbor Inn - ready to begin her life anew. Yet the inn holds more surprises than Jo Marie can imagine. Her first guest is Joshua Weaver, who has come home to care for his ailing stepfather. The two have never seen eye to eye, and Joshua has little hope that they can reconcile. But a long-lost acquaintance from Joshua's high school days proves to him that forgiveness is never out of reach and love can bloom where it's least expected.

A little disappointing
Revisado: 10-02-12
Is there anything you would change about this book?
The main problem I had with this audio book was that while Lorelei King did a good job, she has done so many Janet Evanovich audiobooks, I kept feeling like I was listening to Stephanie Plum and Diesel or one of those characters. I just couldn't get into this book which was disappointing. A real fan of Debbie Macomber's books, this was just not a favorite for me.
Would you be willing to try another book from Debbie Macomber? Why or why not?
Yes, I read or listen to all of Debbie Macomber's books.
What three words best describe Lorelei King’s performance?
Too much like a Evanovich book
Do you think The Inn at Rose Harbor needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?
Maybe, but I couldn't get into these particular characters
