Really hard to understand what you’re listening to. No PDF that I could find. Would appreciate a list of stories. Reader is ok. A little monotonous.

Slow paced tepid story
Revisado: 05-31-24
I love mysteries from this era and have listened to dozens of them. Sadly this story never caught my imagination. It felt like a slog to get through. The narrator didn’t quite have the vocal range to make the characters distinctive — which made the story harder to follow. In the end I really didn’t care who did it.

Historia
Despite the dismal Broadway season, Gunplay continues to draw crowds. A gangland spectacle, it's packed to the gills with action, explosions, and gunfire. In fact, Gunplay is so loud that no one notices the killing of Monte Field. In a sold-out theater, Field is found dead partway through the second act, surrounded by empty seats. The police hold the crowd and call for the one man who can untangle this daring murder: Inspector Richard Queen.

Just never hooked me
Revisado: 09-24-20
I tried many times to follow this story, but for whatever reason it never clicked. When I finally heard the end, I was disappointed – not so much for the plot but for the racism. Yes it was a “different time”, but it’s still ugly and dehumanizing.
There are much better Queen mysteries.
