Historia
In this bold and stylish critique, Cornell philosopher Kate Manne offers a radical new framework for understanding misogyny. Ranging widely across the culture, from Harvey Weinstein and the Brett Kavanaugh hearings to “Cat Person” and the political misfortunes of Elizabeth Warren, Manne’s book shows how privileged men’s sense of entitlement - to sex, yes, but more insidiously to admiration, care, bodily autonomy, knowledge, and power - is a pervasive social problem with often devastating consequences.

Important read for our time

Thank you. Thank you for giving voice to the culture of misogyny, patriarchy and white body supremacy. My voice feels empowered and I know I’m not alone.

Powerful and easy to move through
Revisado: 05-24-20
This book satisfied my craving for fantasy with its magic allure. But also tapped into pains that we all feel and face, some greater than others, on the US and THEM dilemma of this world. Masked with hate and violence- a prevailing theme for the loving hearts is the power of LOVE. I’m looking forward to book two. Thank you!

Historia
Drawing from her work as a psychoanalyst and cantadora (keeper of old stories), Dr. Estes uses myths and folktales to illustrate how societies systematically strip away the feminine spirit. Through an exploration into the nature of the wild woman archetype, Dr. Estes helps listeners rediscover and free their own wild nature.
