Great junk food book bad narrator.

Cheesy anime dialogue and min-
maxing stats are right up my alley. The narrator has a good voice for this kind of book but there is a reason authors say “ a deep but far off rumbling could be heard” and not “ Rrrrrrrrrrr Rumble!”

Definitely not for me.

This book will appeal to many, just not to me. I think I’m was in the wrong head space when I started this. I’ve always been a Robert Jordan , Brandon Sanderson type. My friend suggested I read this as it’s a fantasy about angels ,demons and such but was supposedly really funny. I haven’t found very many parts funny , and the cutsie irrelevant hitch hikers guide writing style gets old pretty quick. Especially when it becomes clear that nothing really matters, nothing has weight I. This story has a solid premise and a few laughs but that’s literally all it has.
Though I may still check out the show it might be funny if they did it kind of in a Shaun of the dead style.

Very interesting. Some really neat ideas, ahead of its time and holds up. There are wholes and gaps, but held my interest.

Boring

Gross to be gross. Characters have no weight or depth. No reason to care. No sense of tension.

Maybe the most interesting book I’ve read in years

I usually only do sci if or fantasy. Maybe the odd autobiography, this was a gem. If nothing else its extremely interesting.

If I was a writer I could explain how disappointed I am

I came straight from stormlight. You can really see how far he has come. The characters are so thin and unbelievable. It was as though I was reading the script from a decent JRPG. The only character with any depth was hrathen. I hope the narrator never sees this but he was painfully bad in comparison to Michael Kramer and Kate redding. Some times he sounded like a bad Kung fu movie dub. Other times he sounded like jimmy stewart or zapp brannigan. I would recommend just reading anotations or spoilers in the cosmete and skipping this all together. I’ve “read” the area of 50 books on audible I believe this is my first written review.

A frustrating waste of time

No likable characters. Except Ferguson. No depth. This is the first time in my life I will say the mediocre movie was better. Above all else it wasn’t even funny.

It’s a nice quick book to remember my favorite series

But that’s all it is. So little actually happens and it’s all crammed into the last hour. It was fun to get a glimpse of how it all started. That said I would not recommend this to any one who wasn’t
Aching for a taste of the wheel of time.

Might be too much.

This was almost too much for me. It left me very confused. I try not too say too much but this was a hard read. Maybe it was worth it. A well written book not for everyone.

Nothing happens

I love the series 2nd time through it for me. I seem to have forgotten that near to nothing happens in this book. Also too much elayne but maybe it's just me.
