I was expecting this book to teach me what I needed to know to pass the AWS cloud practitioner certification.

Instead it was just a list of topics that would be on the certification.

It needs more details to be useful.

I recommend this book to anyone who’s interested in rolling out an agile transformation, or helping roll one out. It talks about why most top down, one-size-fits-all forced agile transformations fail, and what to do instead.

Great observations, but didn’t like the political policy he pushed at the end.

I learned a lot from listening to this book. He had some great insights about how business works in China that I as an American had not understood before. He shared good knowledge about factories, supply chains, the history of AI research, and the Chinese political competition that can lead to fast action compared to American politics, which is usually extremely slow by comparison.

Classic financial advice

This book has been recommended several times and I’m glad I finally got around to listening to it. Some of the examples are a dated and boring, but the philosophy and principles are still very strong and pertinent today.

Now when I read books that reference the intelligent investor, I’ll know what they are talking about.

Like Harry potter, but instead of wands they use violins and flutes.

Great story, very engaging. It had strong echoes of the Harry Potter story and that there is a young orphaned kid who finds out she has magical abilities and gets a magical letter inviting her to attend a far off school with other people who have similar powers.

If you manage a team with both inventors and operators, you need to read this book. It shows you how you can successfully balance both when most people can’t.

A very good and Broad overview of oil

I've worked in the industry for a number of years, and this book still taught me a lot that I didn't know. He gives a great historical overview I boil, talks about where it comes from how it's processed oh, and how it's used. a great read for a curious mind.

great book except for one part

I really like this book overall. I liked his analogy of agile as a management practice, not just a software development technique. I found his description of the nabc framework to be helpful.

If I would have stopped listening two-thirds of the way through, I would have given this 5 stars, but the last third of the book he goes on a huge rant against CEO compensation, stock options, and share buy backs. It felt very out of place to me and did not fit the rest of the book very well.

Ok, but not that great.

it had a pretty cool history of different Christmas songs. I wish they would have talked more about the economics of song making. Overall, I was underwhelmed.

good in the beginning & end, boring in the middle.

I really like the first few sections of this book, that got lost in the middle when he started talking about technical program development stuff. The ending was pretty good.
