I’m thinking the next time I’m hanging out at a political convention, a Stephen King novel will be recited by all gathered. It will be a pay off for enduring this. Good news is I just made it a few chapters. Better news not reading King any more

Ryland Grace is the sole survivor on a desperate, last-chance mission - and if he fails, humanity and the Earth itself will perish. Except that right now, he doesn't know that. He can't even remember his own name, let alone the nature of his assignment or how to complete it. All he knows is that he's been asleep for a very, very long time. And he's just been awakened to find himself millions of miles from home, with nothing but two corpses for company.

What in the hell
Revisado: 05-18-21
With each passing book Andy Weir proves that he may be a literary version of a one hit wonder.
We all have that clingy friend that tries too hard. That’s what this book feels like. Andy hit a home run with the Martian and now seems dedicated to trying to do the exact same thing.
The reader is appalling and sounds like a 14 year old telling his buddies what it’s like to have a tube up his butt.
I can’t recall a worse book on audible

Historia
In the mid-1870s, a violent spray of comets hits Earth, decimating cities, erasing shorelines, and changing the world's climate forever. And just as Earth's temperature dropped, so was civilization frozen in time. Instead of advancing technologically, humanity had to piece itself back together.... In the 21st century, boats still run on steam, messages arrive by telegraph, and the British Empire, with its capital now in Delhi, controls much of the world.

This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?
Orcs deep in a mine who have no entertainment at all may have enjoyed this book if they were tied down and beaten with whips and forced to listen to it.
Has The Peshawar Lancers turned you off from other books in this genre?
It almost turned me off from books and living... really living.
Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Shaun Grindell?
The Narrator is great.
What character would you cut from The Peshawar Lancers?
I would cut all of them and cut off the finger that pressed the mouse when I ordered this.

Social justice warriors have plagued mankind for more than 150 years, but only in the last 30 years has their ideology become dominant in the West. Having invaded one institution of the cultural high ground after another, from corporations and churches to video games and government, there is nowhere that remains entirely free of their intolerant thought and speech policing.

Finally Someone Who Get's It Right!
Revisado: 01-05-17
Would you listen to SJWs Always Lie again? Why?
Yes I will gladly listen to this again because SJW's are a growing menace in our world. The Modern day Red Scare only this time it's powered by the media and popular myth. There is much more to know.
What did you like best about this story?
I knew nothing about Gamergate. Something about the common narrative did not make sense and motivations did not add up. This also applied to the Hugo award issues. I heard about it in the media but something always seemed wrong about what I was heading. This book explains the why and the how these two battles for truth, liberty and free speech I feel will only be the start of an ongoing war.
What does Bob Allen bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
Good, solid voice, he catches the humor and yet delivers the serious elements as well.
If you could give SJWs Always Lie a new subtitle, what would it be?
The truth you will never hear from the media"

No-
Would you ever listen to anything by Hal Elrod again?
maybe
What three words best describe Rob Actis’s performance?
Well done
Was The Miracle Morning worth the listening time?
I don't buy self help stuff very often but this was recommended to me. What I would really love and what I would really get excited about is a self help book that is not a monumental towering advert for it's writer. I don't really want to hear your story or how you turned your self around until laters. It's like watching a DVD where you have to sit through the awards shows for all the awards the movie has won and all the extra features and interviews with Directors, Producers and Writers. How about this fresh approach a 1 page intro to you. Then start the show. Put all the self stroking at the back of the book so I can just say oh the book is over now, I can turn it off. Every time I get a self help book I have to listen to some windbag go on and on about how their path they were good, then bad, then really bad then they found the secret and now it's great, then thirty pages later, "Let's start" no matter how compelling you think your personal story is, I'm not buying your freaking biography. I don't care who invented the Butterfinger candy bar, what ordeal they faced I want the candy bar. It's wouldn't bother me if all the writers didn't do the same thing but they all do.

A bucket of Suck
Revisado: 06-16-15
This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?
This book should be under young adult books. It's that bad. It should be for those who don't love Sci-fi or war of the worlds. I always wanted a tale to enhance or expand the War of the Worlds tale, maybe even an update. THIS IS NOT THAT BOOK. This takes the story of WotW's and pours a thick coating of cat box all over it.
Would you ever listen to anything by Robert Reginald again?
Only if I was an international terrorist and I was caught and exposed to constant torture I'm sure then I would be forced to listen to more of this guys poor story telling.
How did the narrator detract from the book?
It's hard to know it's it's the words or how they are said that suck so bad. Sorry Mark F. Smith you should not be reading books. Your tones great like the a summer road crew working over time in hot Nevada summer. The way you talk sounds like you are 17 and not a 17 on my way to college but a 17 on my way smoke a bowl.
You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?
It did use Verbs, I found that acceptable.
Any additional comments?
This book fills a necessary void of books that should be turned into movies that star Matt Damon.

18 Hours and 20 Min Of Bad Story Telling
Revisado: 01-09-15
What disappointed you about The Golden Princess?
It put the Uck In Suck. How many books are we into this series? Do we really need more writing about the daily lives and how this world works? We get it, They are Proto-super Celts... we understand this. We understand the PPA and Corvallis do we need more about them? I have no curiosity about their developing culture or about the past that we all read. If you remove that from this book there is almost nothing left. Yes everyone is hyper Capable. All women are are 100% equal or superior to all me, especially in fighting. This is why you see men Heavy weights and MMA fighters ducking matches with women because they don't want to get showed up. Sure the Katana is the light Saber of the sword world. The bad guys take no action in the story. We have one major encounter with them but it's just that a meeting encounter we don't see there plan, there action and most of what the main characters are doing is not based on information it's based on Dreams... That's right Dreams. Because THAT HAS NEVER BEEN DONE BEFORE! Take out the Dreams and the stuff we already know and the Travelog of this story and you have about 20 Pages of real story. The main battle at the start of the story is over and is only told in retrospect. This is not a story, this book is simply a prolog for a story. Todd McLaren is great reading it. S.M. Stirling had one good idea he stretched into the first three books. After that it has all been down hill until this one has impacted at what can only be said to be very bad young adult fantasy. Can one character have a flaw? Can there be a lazy guy or a Woman who is a main character and is not a secret weapons master of some kind. How about someone who is near sighted, or doesn't have a hand, or speaks with a lisp. Expect Low fatality in battles, enemies that only show up to goose the story, and nothing else to happen. Please please please!!! STOP THIS WRITER!!!
Oh and the Bear Killers have turned into almost a joke. They were awesome in the first set of three books, then good after that. Now they are just along for the ride.
What could S. M. Stirling have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?
S.M. Stirling is not bad at all he really makes this steam pile of brown mound acceptable as far as you can swallow it.
How did the narrator detract from the book?
Living in Oregon I can tell you. 0% chance of any sort of Irish or Scottish accent ever developing here no matter how many people you kill.
If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from The Golden Princess?
Everything that has to do with...
1. The history we have already read. We are just in a new world, move on.
2. Anything about how super able the Celtic way is, it's just a clan system of people.
3. Anything about Traveling, Ok horse, boat, rail, horse, boat, bicycle, rail, Yes we got it.
4. Any talk about how deadly someone is. Please!
5. How cute anyone is, talk about writing on the wall.
6. Enough Katana Porn. I got it! in your mind the Katana is the Atom Bomb.
7. No more super sense predicting ambush.
8. No more archers ready at every battle.
9. No more super able, ultra deadly anybody.
10. Anyone who is related to anyone else. Too much of this story is explaining who is related to who, why and how they feel about it.
11. Enough about the Pagan ways, we got that, just a little refresher is needed.
Wait if you cut this out, there is no more book. Just an out line that would read.
Any additional comments?
When the bead guys are not in the story, when they just show up to be defeated or evaded. When they have no more motivation than "i'm evil and this is what I do" it makes detracts from the Heroes story.
Star War: we know what the bad guys are doing and why, we see what the good guys are doing and why.
Stephen King: The stand. a post apocalypse world. We see Flagg his successes and failures and frustrations. We see heroes taking action and why.
You can get away with not showing the bad guy in motion, but to do you must make up for it with great story telling, not just, Bad guys show up and everyone get's away, or Bad guy shows up and is defeated, or making the action happen off screen and the most important point of the book (The death of Artos) a memory.
I don't care much for the Queen because it's all getting handed to her. She is not really growing she is not facing risk she is not making happen. No bear out of the woods, no dire enemy,
Ok the bad guys in the story. We know they have some sort of spooky powers but how and why it works seems only to be limited to what first the story. There is no scale or rules to it,. Why the bad guys are doing what their doing makes no sense. How they are doing what they are doing is still, after all these book unseen.
Please Please Please stop this series

Would you try another book from John A. Keel and/or Craig Wasson?
Once you read something this bad you never go back. No No A thousand times no.
What do you think your next listen will be?
I'm going to the Hornblower series just to clear my head
What does Craig Wasson bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
Craig Wasson is a great Narrator, that fact that I made it halfway though the book is all on him and not the writer.
If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from The Mothman Prophecies?
Remove all the crap that has nothing to do with the story. There is so much endless details of encounters and reports that further no story narrative. 70% of this book is glorified unrelated padding.
Any additional comments?

Will This Series Never End?
Revisado: 11-15-13
This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?
A brain dead donkey would find this book very edible and would get more joy out it than any human who looks over the words.
What do you think your next listen will be?
After listening to this book put a Makita 6271DWPE 12V Cordless 3/8" driver drill to your ear and drive it home. It may be the last thing you do but you will never have to listen to another book by this ass clown.
What didn’t you like about Todd McLaren’s performance?
Todd McLaren is the only thing great about this book.
You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?
The ending was awesome... no not the planned ending go the book the fact that it ended. No doubt the writer was able to buy a deluxe swimming pool out of this investment. High five for that.
Any additional comments?
You don't have jump from the back of one buffalo to another in a rampaging herd to know that this book is another sad chapter in what was such a promising start to the series. I loved the first three books and I want to love the ones that followed but they are partial stories filled with partial characters I don't even care about.
The good guys boarder of Super Heroes and bad guys make no sense. This is something that tend to happen in Post Apocalypse stories. I call it the "Postman Effect" Remember the Postman with Kevin Costner? Remember the stupid bad guy in that film who was torturing everyone, capturing slaves, to... dig a big pit... for what? Nuclear weapons? Old Tech? Maybe even a tank? No that was not important just to dig a pit.
So here we see the same thing. Evil guys, doing evil things cause... that's just what evil does. I would give this a 2.5 Postmans because I have read 2.5 of these books and thought the CUT field troops are kind of cool. I've seen deeper Villains on Power Rangers Shows.
Even adding in a reason now, well it would just seemed goofy.
