Historia
Every so often a character so captures the hearts and imaginations of listeners that he seems to take on a life of his own long after the final chapter. For such a character, one book is not enough—listeners must know what happens next. Now Dean Koontz returns with the novel his fans have been demanding. With the emotional power and sheer storytelling artistry that are his trademarks, Koontz takes up once more the story of a unique young hero and an eccentric little town in a tale that is equal parts suspense and terror, adventure and mystery—and altogether irresistibly odd.

Top Notch
Revisado: 12-15-05
I liked Odd Thomas and LOVED Forever Odd - Koontz is starting to approach "favorite author" status right up there with Mr. King.
The characters are well-developed and the story paced well - a good listen - great narration!

Historia
In the spring of 1974, Calliope Stephanides, a student at a girls' school in Grosse Pointe, finds herself drawn to a chain-smoking, strawberry-blonde classmate with a gift for acting. The passion that furtively develops between them - along with Callie's failure to develop physically - leads Callie to suspect that she is not like other girls. In fact, she is not really a girl at all.

Different BUT well worth the time!
Revisado: 06-05-03
Obviously - a quick read of the synopsis of this book will either turn people away or draw them in -- those who turn away will miss a fascinating story while those drawn in are about to reap a large reward!
The story is multi-leveled and does NOT over-focus on the "sex" angle and, in doing so, makes that part of the story even more real and touching. The narration is great as well -- add this to your cart and you won't be sorry!

Historia
Alex Delaware is summoned to a trendy gallery where a promising young artist has been brutally garroted on the night of her first major showing. There is no obvious motive, and the careful staging of the murder scene immediately suggests to Alex not an impulsive crime of passion, but the meticulous and taunting modus operandi of a serial killer. As more killings are discovered, unraveling the puzzle assumes a new importance - stopping a vicious psychopath who's made cold-blooded murder his chosen art form.

Kellerman has done better ....
Revisado: 05-22-03
I have read (or listened) to almost all of Kellerman's Alex Delaware books and, in general, liked this one BUT would not call it anything like "gripping" or "tense" -- rather simply -- enjoyable and slightly predictable.
One major distraction was the narrators attempts to portray feminine voices - ALL of the women ended up sounding like the were dumb, whiney and helpless (particularly Robin) compared to the men -- NOT the way I imagined them from past readings!

Got me hooked...
Revisado: 01-28-03
This was among one of the early audible.com books I listened too. The combination of King's imagination and the vocals of Frank Muller are truly what got me hooked on audio books.
The characters come alive in this story and, yes, King does get you to love them, hate them and go through both life and death with them. That is the wonder of any good book - you finish it and months later - you still remember the charatcers, their flaws and imperfections as well as the joys and EVEN their names.
A truly enjoyable book! It's long BUT you will zip right through it and you will definately feel like you got your moneys worth.
