Historia
Heralded by the New York Times and Time as the couples therapy with the highest rate of success, Emotionally Focused Therapy works because it views the love relationship as an attachment bond. This idea, once controversial, is now supported by science, and has become widely popular among therapists around the world. In Hold Me Tight, Dr. Sue Johnson presents Emotionally Focused Therapy to the general public for the first time. Johnson teaches that the way to save and enrich a relationship is to reestablish safe emotional connection and preserve the attachment bond.

Platitudes without a playbook
Revisado: 06-16-23
The author's proposed an array of radical ideas however in many cases do not provide the means to achieve them. Several times, they alienate the would be convert through shaming honest efforts to understand colonization and discrimination without providing the tools to move forward any other way.
"the woke must make room for the waking" --John Fasman
While this book presents some interesting to consider and contemplate they completely missed the mark in evaluating the present state of society, the realistic means of change and our ability to achieve it.
you're far better off making friends with someone who doesn't look like you than spending the time reading this.

Empire of the Summer Moon spans two astonishing stories. The first traces the rise and fall of the Comanches, the most powerful Indian tribe in American history. The second entails one of the most remarkable narratives ever to come out of the Old West: the epic saga of the pioneer woman Cynthia Ann Parker and her mixed-blood son, Quanah, who became the last and greatest chief of the Comanches.

A little too 'white man' centric
Revisado: 10-31-22
Having just finished reading 'Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee', I had to question some of the perspectives and even facts presented in this book.
What at times turned into a laundry list of atrocities and justifications for the invading, genocidal force of colonists against indigenous people, this book none-the-less provided some information I wasn't aware of.
Worth the time, but put your critical hat on and take the support of white aggression justifications with a pinch of salt and recognition that in most cases, history is written by the victor of conflict.

Call it "Zen and the Art of Farming" or a "Little Green Book", Masanobu Fukuoka's manifesto about farming, eating, and the limits of human knowledge presents a radical challenge to the global systems we rely on for our food. At the same time, it is a spiritual memoir of a man whose innovative system of cultivating the earth reflects a deep faith in the wholeness and balance of the natural world. As Wendell Berry writes in his preface, the book "is valuable to us because it is at once practical and philosophical."
