I've loved most of his books until now. I guess I've had my fill. While probably more tolerable in text, repeating the same phrase so many times in an audio book comes off as a thinly veiled attempt to invent your own terms for the sake of your own legacy.

Sadly, he attempts this with things we already have terms for. Cloud/supernova is tautology. We've had the cloud as a representation in networking diagrams for 3 decades. No One Is Going To Add your extra word, merely to indulge your pretense as a futurist or modern prophet. It just makes your audio book sound kludgey.

I'm at least halfway through with only slight mention of crypto currency, and--as I'm coming to expect--he calls it something else. Blockchain is the underlying technology, not what anyone calls it.

tl;dr This is almost like listening to your dad describing the internet as "tubes".

I get it: proud momma. Not sure we need quite as much bragging about your kids. Palo Alto doesn't represent most of our schools or communities. The amount of funding is likely huge, and the name-dropping of local tech celebrities is off-putting.

Inspirational, but audio is completely the wrong format for this. I would love to see a Workbook like we had back in schools in the 70s!

Millennial Mess

Rambling observations, picked from at least 10 different recent self improvement books. Ironic, since this is the least disciplined writing I've heard in years. This makes Beat poetry look rigid.

The narration sounds computer generated--like every sentence was recorded in a different take and edited together. Too much enunciation.

Horrible Audio Book

Totally blown away by this. Being from "The States" I've known nothing of Mr. Mear's career, but will definitely research more.

I was also gladdened to know he's working to preserve ancient traditions.

I guess it's good to be ever-present in marketing, but it's getting less revolutionary every time I hear it. The only remaining surprise so far is that these practices haven't been adopted more widely.

I'm also finding good work ethic at odds with Tim Ferris. Who's right?
