Historia
Twelve-year-old Percy Jackson is about to be kicked out of boarding school...again. No matter how hard he tries, he can't seem to stay out of trouble. But can he really be expected to stand by and watch while a bully picks on his scrawny best friend? Or not defend himself against his pre-algebra teacher when she turns into a monster and tries to kill him? Of course, no one believes Percy about the monster incident; he's not even sure he believes himself.

What a waste of 18 hrs
Revisado: 11-13-18
The discovery wasn’t nearly groundbreaking nor was it worth the wait. The plot was poorly implemented. A few events were never properly mapped out and didn’t fit in the overall picture. The use of foreign language didn’t enhance the experience at all. The narrator had poor accent imitation and inaccurate pronunciation of some non English phrases. The whole thing was disappointing

I want more
Revisado: 08-28-13
Where does The Power of Habit rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
it is probably in the top 10%
Any additional comments?
The book is such a tease!! hold on, it is probably not fair to say that. the book is really valuable it offers great insight into the mind and how it works, into how habits form. but I need more.
1) there is so much around us that take advantage of how habits form, in a way that is sometimes (in my view) unethical. it makes me question a lot of the marketing that takes place. also made me wonder who has access to my habits and how do they use it. SCARY
2) the book offers no recipe for change. it tells you change is possible, it tells you the ingredients of the habit which can be potentially used for affecting change but it still leaves you wondering how to portion out the ingredients. not intentionally but just because of the nature of habit and the nature of individuals and how divers they are. it makes me want more.

Where there is love, nothing is too much trouble
Revisado: 08-28-13
What made the experience of listening to The Five Love Languages: The Secret to Love That Lasts the most enjoyable?
recognising that as a feeling expressed in action needs to be translated. If you don't have the right translator you might be reacting to the wrong message.
also recognising that the delivery of love is just as important as its very existence cause otherwise it really doesn't matter how much love is there if not realized through appropriate delivery
What did you like best about this story?
real people, real stories and real life scenarios
Have you listened to any of Gary Chapman’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
this is his first performance, I love the way he read it and I could relate to what he says better knowing it is him who wrote the book. so it was like having a private session with Dr Chapman
What did you learn from The Five Love Languages: The Secret to Love That Lasts that you would use in your daily life?
my spouse's love language :) I would use that a lot :)

Very English
Revisado: 08-28-13
If you could sum up Is Counselling Training for You? in three words, what would they be?
Informative, and intriguing
What was one of the most memorable moments of Is Counselling Training for You??
No spoiler comments but I like the objectivity of the author, asking questions and sharing views more than telling and directing.
Would you listen to another book narrated by Geoff Barham?
Maybe, if the Author is male maybe. otherwise Geoff can be confusing cause he is almost using the same voice across all the different personalities of the book.
Any additional comments?
the Book is very British focused, which isn't bad if you live in England. it references a lot of associations and institutions in England that are irrelevant if you don't live there. other parts of the book are very valuable nonetheless.

Dan Brown’s new novel, Inferno, features renowned Harvard symbologist Robert Langdon and is set in the heart of Europe, where Langdon is drawn into a harrowing world centred around one of history’s most enduring and mysterious literary masterpieces. As Dan Brown comments: "Although I studied Dante’s Inferno as a student, it wasn't until recently, while researching in Florence, that I came to appreciate the enduring influence of Dante's work on the modern world."

Fantastic Story, Horrible ending
Revisado: 06-10-13
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
i was captivated by the book for most of it with the exception of some parts with lengthy historical background. the thrill grew to the edge towards the second half of the book, (no spoilers) but i am always eager to find out what is going to happen next. Certainly enjoyed this part.
the ending however was disappointing and not clear, it didn't answer my questions and didn't leave me hungry for more either. i was like .... really? and what about?? what was the whole problem the were worried about to begin with? and why is it not a problem any more? didn't like that much
What about Paul Michael’s performance did you like?
Paul is Awesome!! I love how he changes his tone, pitch, and speed of speach to show differences between different players in the story. makes it so easy to follow.

Everyone in the movie pause a long while, sat a long while, waited a long while, unenjoyable repetition.
The story was predictable from the start.
It wasn't very clear where the directors loyalty isToo much use of foul language.

Revisado: 10-06-12
Would you consider the audio edition of ScreamFree Parenting to be better than the print version?
Totally, I don't read and having an Audio book is the best way I get access to such ideas
What did you learn from ScreamFree Parenting that you would use in your daily life?
Don't react emotionally
Any additional comments?
the book is great though some of the ideas seemed simplistic to me but I believe they are very valuable for many parents around me and I hope all parents learn to control their emotion reactivity and take matters in their own hands as they go about their life as parents
