Historia
Lymstock is a town with more than its share of shameful secrets - a town where even a sudden outbreak of anonymous hate mail causes only a minor stir. But all that changes when one of the recipients, Mrs. Symmington, commits suicide. Her final note says "I can’t go on", but Miss Marple questions the coroner's verdict of suicide. Soon nobody is sure of anyone - as secrets stop being shameful and start becoming deadly.

Christie at her best!
Revisado: 05-15-21
What I like best about this story is the layers of plots, all intertwined and confusing the reader about motives and possibilities until the very end.

Outstanding find!

Narrator was perfect, and the story itself was full of her characteristic twists and turns to a fabulous, unforeseen ending. But what I liked best are her characters, so immediately known to the reader with a few words and the deftness of the narrator.

Historia
When an elderly priest is murdered, the killer searches the victim so roughly that his already ragged cassock is torn in the process. What was the killer looking for? And what had a dying woman confided to the priest on her deathbed only hours earlier? Mark Easterbrook and his sidekick, Ginger Corrigan, are determined to find out. Maybe the three women who run The Pale Horse public house - and who are rumored to practice the "Dark Arts" - can provide some answers....

One of Christie's Best!
Revisado: 04-07-20
She mixes English charm from yesteryear with timeless themes- love, evil, deceit, and desperation- and a few previous characters into a maddening, urgent mystery.

Historia
For years, Milo Talon had been riding the outlaw trail, looking for a man who had betrayed his family. Only Hank Rossiter wasn’t the man he had been. Old now and blind, Rossiter was trying desperately to hold on to a small ranch to support his daughter, Barbara. Suddenly Talon found himself in the middle of a range war, siding with the man he’d marked for payback. But had Rossiter really changed? And could his daughter be trusted by either of them? For Milo, getting to the truth meant a long hard fight to separate his enemies from his friends - and forgiveness from revenge.

Twists, turns, and classic Lamour adventure!
Revisado: 06-24-19
Milo Talon is one of his better protagonists, and the mystery in this story rivals the best Lamour offers
