Historia
Racer McKay is a broody bastard. From the moment I met him, he's been rude, irritable, and unbearable. And worse? He's broke. A contractor working to remodel my parents pool house for extra cash, he stomps around in those clunky construction boots with his tool belt wrapped around his narrow waist, and a chip on his shoulder. Racer McKay is also infuriatingly...sexy as hell. I want to take that pencil tucked behind his ear, and draw lazy lines slowly up and down his body all the while wanting to strangle him at the same time.

Endearing Story. But Racer’s speaking voice grated on my nerves! It was hideous and his laughs were maniacal. 🤦🏼♀️😖

I loved the story line. It transported me back to high school and the guy I had a huge crush on. This is the first gay love story I have come across. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

The narrator’s voice got on my nerves. Her reading of the passionate moments sounded like he was lecherous. She ruined the story.

Historia
Molly Wells is keeping a lot of secrets, such as why she's stolen her ex-husband's expensive stallion and driven him hundreds of miles to the ranch of horse whisperer Jake Coulter and why she's arrived with no job, no money, and an all-consuming fear. Molly may be willing to risk everything to save the stallion, but it's herself she really needs to save. By making a place for Molly on his ranch, Jake suspects that he may be harboring a thief. But there's something about this courageous, yet vulnerable, woman that tugs on his heartstrings.

I don’t care for the narrator
Revisado: 11-13-23
I almost didn’t listen to the book when I saw it was narrated by Suzanne Toren. Her female voices are too high pitched and fake and the men are too gravelly. I don’t enjoy her narrations. Good book. Typical of the writer though. Every main female character in her books are called “Maggie mine” “Molly mine” “Bethany mine”. Too interchangeable.

Definitely different
Revisado: 08-03-23
There were very noticeable differences between MC Beaton and the ghost writer. Some were a pleasant change such as less angry outbursts and ridiculous fawning over men. But others showed less depth of characters and mixing up Charles and James in the storylines.
