I'm in awe!
Revisado: 04-27-23
Every time I think, "Wow! This series can’t ever get any better." It gets better! Usually I get tired of a series after the 3rd book. But Omgosh! It keeps me drawn in. Stillhouse is a beautiful place, but man, this poor woman and her kids. This is a magnificent novel and I just found Book 5. Rachel Caine has written quite the thriller and she just got a new fan.

A Sweet Clean Romance
Revisado: 01-19-20
This is book 1 of the Love Happens series. Hannah Jenkins, a strong independent woman, has been divorced from her husband for some time. You'd think the gossiping would have stopped by now. In walks the handsome and famous Adam Cade. Now his old neighbors are throwing themselves....at his money. What started out as a fake relationship between Adam and Hannah blossoms into something much more.
I thoroughly enjoyed this audiobook. It was romantic, but a clean read. I think it took a lot for Hannah to forgive her ex-husband, and he did not give his son any stability so no wonder he knew nothing about him. I felt absolutely awful for the poor kid. This was a great story of self-discovery and most importantly forgiveness.

Historia
Fifteen-year-old Darcy Walker’s name means "dark walker." Whether her parents’ choice was a stroke of genius or smack of stupid, they definitely nailed the irony. She lacks direction. Distracts easily. And despite a high IQ, her grades stink. Valley High’s reigning misfit, she’s also infatuated with a bad boy. A guy that her hottie best friend, Dylan, wishes would get acquainted with his fist. With her life spiraling out of control, she cuts class and stumbles upon a corpse in a dumpster. From there, things go high-octane because in a world full of nouns, Darcy’s a verb. Hardwired for action, she gets caught up in the middle of the mystery and can’t let go.

Humorous and Light Read
Revisado: 02-16-15
What did you love best about Grade A Stupid?
The way Darcy constantly got herself into trouble. I love the humor in it as well, there's never a dull moment.
Have you listened to any of Patricia Fructuoso’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
No I haven't. I completely enjoyed it and thought she was truly Darcy.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
Yes, when Dylan fought Eddie to keep Darcy safe. It made you wonder exactly how deeply he loved her.

Historia
America's end is near. No one knows why, but the great country is under attack. After being weakened by countless natural disasters, America opens its airspace for aid. But instead, what is left of the devastated West Coast finds itself nearly obliterated from above. The key may belong to tests designed by a Pacific Northwest psychologist, Rachel Parker.

One of the best books I've read this year!
Revisado: 10-24-14
Would you consider the audio edition of Into the End to be better than the print version?
I think they are both good. The audio edition is more convenient when you're busy or on a long drive. I listened while recovering from a migraine.
What did you like best about this story?
The plot of the story, I thought it was amazing.
Which character – as performed by David Gilmore – was your favorite?
My favorite would have to be Brenda.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
Yes, when Brenda told Rachel she was taken by Rachel's former co-worker. Also when Brenda told Rachel that Andy was alive.
Any additional comments?
I can honestly say I have never listened to a book quite like this. The entire time, I kept thinking about what i would have done in the same circumstances. Bonnie Paulson has once again surprised me with her storytelling genius. I was immediately drawn into the story; it kept me intrigued and at the edge of my seat to the very end. I can't wait to read book two to see what happens next!
