Wow did this thing lose the plot at the end!

Started out great, really loved the narrator, but boy oh boy did this go off the rails at hour 6… almost couldn’t finish it, very disappointing.

Would you try another book from Jojo Moyes and/or Clare Corbett and Penny Rawlins ?
I love this author and also Clare Corbett is one of my favorite narrators but the first half of the book is read by Penny Rawlins who is terrible, whenever something dramatic happens her voice goes 5 octaves up and I can't even listen to the words she is saying. S

What would have made The Fortune Hunter better?
4 and half hours into this book and still nothing interesting had happened, it's a shame too because I love the narrator but even she couldn't make this interesting. I love historical fiction and had listened to another book by this author years ago that I had enjoyed so I thought I'd try this one, very disappointed.

Would you listen to Maximum Achievement again? Why?
I loved this book, it was easy to follow and easy to apply to my life. I plan on listening to again to really get all the tenants of his plan into my subconscious mind.
Any additional comments?
His voice wasn't the most feeling but it was comforting somehow.

How did the narrator detract from the book?
her voice was monotone, flat, unemotional, I feel like perhaps if I had read the book instead of listening to it, I might have gotten more out of it.
If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from The Martha Rules?
The examples of business inspiration she chose to include in the book were somehow made boring. I would have liked to know more about how she was personally influenced by her mentors. There was nothing 'personal' about this book.
