Exciting setup
Revisado: 08-15-21
Jim Frangione always reads to books with emotion and diction. The author setup the story so well. The plot carried well throughout the book. But, like an end of an ice cone, there is a little disappointment that is over.

Historia
Nesta Archeron has always been prickly-proud, swift to anger, and slow to forgive. And ever since being forced into the Cauldron and becoming High Fae against her will, she's struggled to find a place for herself within the strange, deadly world she inhabits. Against the sweeping backdrop of a world seared by war and plagued with uncertainty, Nesta and Cassian battle monsters from within and without as they search for acceptance - and healing - in each other's arms.

Excellence in Book 4
Revisado: 03-06-21
I love Sarah Maas writing. i was a little worried about this series when Book 3.1 was ok and did not have the shine like the second half of Book 1, all Book 2 and War in Book 3. Cassian is one of my favorite characters and this was a great book about his story and his mate. i pray book 3.2 sets up Elaine and Lucien and ??? i do not want to setup spoilers in this review. Sarah continue the great work for I loved Throne of Glass series and Cresent City too

Historia
It began on New Year’s Eve. The sickness came on suddenly, and spread quickly. The fear spread even faster. Within weeks, everything people counted on began to fail them. The electrical grid sputtered; law and government collapsed - and more than half of the world’s population was decimated. Where there had been order, there was now chaos. And as the power of science and technology receded, magick rose up in its place.

Mirrors our world, too Real
Revisado: 02-24-19
Family. What does that mean? How do we honor those who raised us? What kind of people are we when an "end of times" event hits the world. i do not know. This book really makes you think about it as the characters suffer, celebrate and travel the country. What you thought was safe is no longer safe? Who you hope to trust cannot be trusted.

Too Short
Revisado: 01-26-19
This was a missed opportunity to refresh and expand the story of previous former Lord and scary bad ass demon. The missing story was seeing Gailen view of his history with the humans (hate, pain and jealously) and Legion review of her beginnings to now (maybe via long nightmare, recurring review in the earlier chapters. This short felt rushed in the end (last 4 chapters). oh well. I still live this series

The early Anita Blake novels find new life in trade paperback-as perfect collectibles for long-time fans or as great ways for new listeners to sink their teeth into the series. Audiable: Stop the background noise
Revisado: 08-25-18
At first the background noise was at the end of a chapter. Now it is in the middle of the chapter, in the middle of scenes, etc. Very Annoying especially when you are driving and the noise appears out of no where. I thought a car with a bad muffler was coming up beside me.

Forget what you thought you knew
Revisado: 06-20-18
As an independent story from the Dark Hunter series, I am confused by some of the character introductions. I thought they did not occur until later. I would say what character but that would be a spoiler. I want to hit Nick with a broom with his smart mouth but you have to love him. for now.

Historia
Zev Hunter was an elite warrior, a dark-blood dealer of death to rogue Lycans who preyed on mankind. He was a loner, never given to personal attachments, and damned fierce at his job. But Zev begins to question his past and his purpose when he awakens in the darkness of the sacred cave of warriors - and is soothed back to consciousness by the sensuously familiar voice of one woman, the woman who has haunted his fantasies for centuries. She was Branislava, member of the Dragonseeker clan.

Each reader took on the character voices of their sex (M/F). At one time, they were dancing back and forth every other line keeping in character.
