love Reese love the Riss and I loved the original narrator. by the way this narrator narrates "The Kazak series" by C.R Daems "Talons of the unnamed Goddess" and "Scales of Justice" by C.R Daems and more and she is fantastic for those books and series. Love her there. here, I prefer the original one. still great story.

I don't think I'll get enough of Reese though. listen to this series a few times a year.

prefer the other narrator but I continue to love Reese so here I am. I really wish we stuck with the other narrator especially for the way she brought Thelia to life. the laugh she gave, solid acting. this narrator is great sure but not after the previous one

I'm in love with Ali Vali. my dream woman is a mix of all the Cane Casey, Set, the dragon, both the MCs in blue skies, like I'm just in love with her MCs. especially Casey. this book is up there!! Her butch women make me swoon. one day. great book, the writing is awesome as per usual. I may be bias but I recommend

I have struggled with this book and it's extremely unfortunate. I wanted a warrior woman's story and her great love. Instead i got a nymphomaniac. I don't know what I expected when the synopsis mentioned a harem. Here is my thing, this is mostly erotica for the sake of erotica. The storyline might work for some or many but I disliked it passionately and here is why;

Now understand these are MY hang ups, not yours.

My biggest hang up is the non-monogamous aspects. To say something as nonchalantly like "I can share my body but not my heart" makes ZERO sense to my logic. Like zero! your heart is part of the body for one and you cannot separate the act and how you feel - to me. Like it or not, sex is as intimate as two human beings can ever be or get. And while more people are starting to be open and more willing to be in ENM (Ethical Non Monogamous) relationships and though they absolutely make no sense to me as these people are on all these apps still searching for something you apparently already have... What are you looking for?

On top of sex being the biggest thing to rule this leader... There is a scene in here where she admits to falling in love with the new addition to her harem... Without ever having spoken to her, hanging with her, getting to know her and all that. Oh, and it's apparently mutual. Give me a break. More believable to say she has fallen in lust but love was such a stretch. Especially as she was still screwing every woman there with a pulse.

Another scene... she went 2 weeks without sex (goddess forbid) and she knew that the only person who could "quench" that thirst is the supposed woman she loves. Who at this stage did not want a WLW relationships (another issue I have is this, but I digress). So, she gets a look alike to act and pretend she is her and screws her through the night. Which to me, the whole thing was so gross. But also, contradictory. If you love someone so much that you know the touch of others will pale in comparison, why not forsake all others for the one that will fill not only your body but your heart (heart is still part of the body)? The thing about monogamy/monogamous relationships isn't that it's just the way society has programed us so it's just the thing to do. It's that while it's EASY to get laid, you are committed to one person completely. It's not hand cuffs, its not lust, it's a commitment. In a place like this where you can screw anyone and apparently they're all so incredible at sex, what's to stop one's heart from falling for another. Like it's a greater sacrifice to forsake all others but these hedonistic people don't have a concept of denying one's self. To them, it's wrong to do that. That's their take on monogamy. I have to laugh.

I say all this because ALL our leader wants from her slave is her heart. And yes, I said slave because while she was saved from a terrible fate with others, she was not granted freedom either. apparently it's their way. But at least she has a comfy bed and now enjoys sexy time with everyone. yuck yuck yuck. If you're like me and the idea of multiple partners makes you uncomfortable, I do not recommend this book. If however these things do not bother you, go ahead get it. The Narrator was excellent (my biggest and possibly only positive take)

This is my second book from this author and I love them! I can't wait for more works! I enjoyed the narrator. Good bit of mystery, romance, side characters. It just had it all

Once again, brilliant narrator

Brilliant narrator. Nothing negative about their work here. my entire review is about the plot of this book and how I now this author.

First, if you read my previous review for book 1, you can see, I really did try to give this book a fair chance... A BADASS FEMALE cougar shifter, who is also a witch and will only keep getting stronger? sign me up! I really really desperately wanted to like this series.

Issue # 1; the sex talk. This author literally assumes that every time women are together in one room we're talking sex and orgasms and it's a theme for these college girls. Sure in college we talked-about these things amongst our peers. But this is excessive, super excessive. Also, the amount of sex abuse and sex related trauma in all these books is astonishing. It really makes me question the author.

But this book... This book... Just when I think this author cannot disappoint me even more... He surprises with even more disappointment. This book was about white.... Slavery? It is technically about sex trafficking. As per my previous reviews you'll notice this is a trend for this author... Back to this book. Sex trafficking that the author calls white slavery. It's like no research at all was performed to even understand the true victims of sex trafficking or Sex trafficking in general. I'm not saying that white people are not victims of this, of course we are! But the overall percentage here in the United States is around 45% (keep in mind the AA population in the state makes up 13% of the overall American population) for black America. Now compare that to the 20% for white America. Don't get me wrong, I'd prefer it was zero for both. But sex trafficking disproportionately affects the AA community over any other in this country. But, we can all agree, we'd prefect all that just ended and no one is traumatized by this. This author couldn't talk about sex trafficking in general- which is evil... No no, he has to talk about specifically white sex trafficking and he called it white slavery. White Slavery?? Unbelievable. I realize I'm reading a book about shape shifters so I'm required to suspend my believability for a sec but seriously?

The only reason this book

Could be a 2 star is only because of the narrator! she was the single best thing in this story. This book also felt like it was written by a man. This isn't a bad thing but for the things I'm about to mention. I worry about young females who are in sexually abusive situations finding this book. Always report! ALWAYS REPORT ABUSE! ALWAYS REPORT ABUSE! The stepfathers addition to this story should have all been thrown away! Who proof read this and thought, yeah, this is okay for young impressionable girls to read? I'm so livid at this. Also, the brush of all the abuse is astonishing. she's been raped continuously for 3-4 years by a parental figure and now she's totally fine, able to talk about climaxes with her friend. Perfectly normal nothing fake/false to see here. This is why I say this was written by a dude. So unrealistic but... hey, you're talking about a werecat so you thought let me suspend all reality and not worry about my audience.

The other thing that really bothered my spirit is the HYPER sexualization of teenage girls. This is absolutely triggering. I can't believe a story couldn't be written without any is this. I really wanted a werecat story with a girl learning to control her abilities, kick ass, and be a hero. Unbelievable! I want to read the next book to see if it's as awful because there was so much potential for this story. I know most of us are here because we read "werecat". I do not under any circumstances recommend this book. Do not recommend. And depending on the next book... I don't recommend this author either. YES TO THE NARRATOR THOUGH.

Sara Vonn absolutely nailed this performance. English accent: check. American accent: check! Absolutely wonderful. A standing ovation to her performance.

K.E. Morrison; I don't like celebrity romances but they seem to work and people swoon over them. so eh, I wanted something different. And, I loved this story. I loved the sister and friends. The supporting cast are all solid. This was my intro book to this author and narrator. I'll definitely listen to Sara Vonn again regardless of author (as long as it's Sapphic- I have my limits, Sara). And I'd also read another Morrison book.

Bone to pick with Author: I NEED TO KNOW ABOUT DAVID! That's all I'll say without spoilers and I'm sure she knows for sure what I'm talking about. I can't be the only one who was waiting for ven.... anyway. no spoilers go read the book.

a lot of the story is not finished imo. hope she revists this couple in the future. I can't reveal the parts I needed actual healing on as it would be spoilers. I love Radley and her books are a soft touch. which was what I needed right now
