I feel so proud of Brandi - just so freaking proud of her journey

I didn’t know much about Brandi Carlile until she came on Glennon and Abby’s podcast and when I heard she had a book - I was like cool, new book, yay - but this was a book that pulled at me so emotionally - and not emotionally in a dramatic way - but like I felt invested in the story and the journey and the life lessons - and experienced so much parallel with my own life - not in lived experience - but in life experience - the Saturn’s Return and the affects and the passion and complete feeling of digesting each experience - thinking about things so deeply that they feel devoured - and it doesn’t escape me that she’s a Gemini - 9 days before me, 6 years after me. So much the same - and so much different - at the end I felt like I was saying goodbye to the closest friend, teacher, sister, guide I’ve experienced so far in life - the songs between each chapter felt like a circle closed. I know we’ll never meet, Brandi - but if you ever do read this - a vibration of you exists consciously in the world and just watched you be the baddest-ass level of human who’s still kicking ass and will continue - and this vibration is so ridiculously proud of you and of all of it - and hard shit - and heartbreaking shit - you did it - you showed the rest of us how to level up as humans and I thank you for your beautiful true honest and authentic self - thank you for sharing and letting us find you ❤️

Thought provoking

This book has certainly made me think about all the possibilities in my life and the fact that they are simply untapped potential ready to be activated. I hope everyone who reads this will see the same for themselves. I do wish there had been a more detailed ending of how it all turned out but maybe that’s the point. Without an absolute ending there’s still a million possibilities.

Wow. Everyone on Earth needs to listen to this

I am a Brene Brown fan. Like every book - every video/podcast/etc. And I’m telling you this talk is the most meaningful and deeply profound - “close up-closeness” with Brene Brown that I’ve ever heard. First of all - Tami Simon from Sounds True is also fabulous and on point as always! And the way Brene flowed everything she’s learned - using the Rising Strong practice as the base - all her data and wraps it all together into a doable-practice with wisdom and understanding. There were moments when I just realized that if every human on the planet were to learn these truths and we as a society start to embed this practice into our everyday relationships - with everyone - then we could heal so much pain in our world. “Having the willingness to feel my pain so that I don’t inflict pain on others, and the strength to own my hurt so that I don’t hurt anyone else.”

This book is awesome. Especially if you’re someone like me who’s always waiting for the end of the world and want to be prepared. Not that we can ever be fully prepared, but man does this book put so many things into perspective. Salt and coffee! Stock up now - it’ll be gold later.

Painful and inspirational

While it was hard to listen to this book at times, it was also so incredibly inspirational. Also understanding that the author didn’t give anywhere near graphic details to these events and yet they were still agonizing. I applaud Kelly Randis for her grit as well as her talent for writing and keeping the reader engaged. She hooked me with the first sentence “Wow. He sure can hold his breath a long time.”

Up Close with Matthew McConaughey

Nothing like listening to the man himself tell you about his life - the pace and the beat of this book is alive while Matthew explains his philosophy of life through his experiences. It’s wonderful. I highly recommend it to anyone on the journey of self discovery.

Love, Regret, Adventure, Betrayal, Heroism

This series has been such great fun, filled with everything an adventure has to offer. A clever princess determined to protect her kingdom, a loyal army with a master wizard, a lost but honorable boy searching for his truth, a greedy nemesis looking for a foothold to power which leads to treason, a son refusing to walk in the footsteps of his father, an evil enemy that threatens the world... everything that you love about adventure is right here! I’m sad it’s over and hope that Craig Alanson and Tim Gerard Reynolds find a way to team up again for a new adventure.

Funny! Intelligent! Surprising! Delightful!

I honestly can’t say enough about this marvelous little *radio play* It involved imagination and the characters were so real and vivid, I could see them, down to their facial expressions! I enjoyed this so much that I’m heartbroken the story is over and now I must go listen to it all over again!
