Started off interesting and then just got wierd.

This could have been a great book, but the story just took on a tact of the godhead that was nonsense.

Not much of the story centered on the midair event. The author took long and redundant side stories, more like filler to make a book. The reader was flat and dull. It did provide some insight into a pilot's life for that era.

Overall, great book. One major distraction for the audio version was the constant break to announce "footnote." It became very irritating.
