Historia
Simon and Vicky couldn’t seem more normal: a wealthy Chicago couple, he a respected law professor, she an advocate for domestic violence victims. A stable, if unexciting marriage. But one thing’s for sure: absolutely nothing is what it seems. The pair are far from normal, and one of them just may be a killer. When the body of a beautiful socialite is found hanging in a mansion in a nearby suburb, Simon and Vicky’s secrets begin to unravel. A secret whirlwind affair. A twenty-million-dollar trust fund about to come due.

Great plot twists!!

I can usually predict the outcome of psychological thrillers but this one had me guessing until the end. Great story! Definitely worth the credit!

Narrator is horrible
Revisado: 02-22-21
Love the story line but the narrator is like listening to fingernails in a chalkboard. She pauses is the wrong places and her accents are terrible. I thought the last narrator (Carol Schneider I think) was awful but we jumped out of the pot into the fire. I’m invested in the story line now but probably won’t buy any other series of Debra Webb books if either of these narrate.

Historia
When two young boys discover human bones buried beneath a tree in a trailer park, Detective Josie Quinn races to join her team at the scene. She used to play in those woods as a child, happier outside and away from her abusive mother, Belinda Rose. Josie’s past crashes into her present when a rare dental condition confirms the bones belong to a teenage foster-child who was murdered 30 years ago. A girl named Belinda Rose.

Narrator is awful
Revisado: 10-29-19
This is my third book in the series and the stories are great but honestly I wish I had not started them because the narrator is so terrible. She has awkward timing, mispronunciations, and her tone of voice and enunciation is all wrong. Now I’m stuck because I want to know what happens with Josie Quinn!

Historia
Detective Josie Quinn is horrified when she’s called to the house of a mother who had her newborn baby snatched from her arms. A woman caught fleeing the scene is Josie’s only lead, but when questioned it seems this mysterious girl doesn’t know who she is, where she’s from, or why she is so terrified.... Is she a witness, a suspect, or the next victim? As Josie digs deeper, a letter about a mix-up at a fertility clinic links the nameless girl and the missing child to a spate of killings across the county.

Narrator stinks
Revisado: 10-13-19
I’m sorry to report this because the story line is pretty good but this is the second book in the series that I have listened to and the narrator is awful.

Awful narrator
Revisado: 05-23-17
What did you like best about Faithless? What did you like least?
The story was good but it was hard to follow because the narrator was monotone and had awful impressions.
How could the performance have been better?
Bring back original narrator.
