Historia
A special command from the convict regiment, wearing Russian uniforms, take over four Russian T-34 tanks. Remote reconnaissance far behind the Russian lines in Caucasus. The year is 1942. Hour for hour, the tanks roll eastward. Several times, Russian departments challenge them. We follow the soldiers in their desperate struggle to find their way back to the German lines. The distances are great, the friends are few and death is always right behind them.

THE NARRATION IS HORRENDOUS!
Revisado: 06-10-19
I couldn’t get 10 minutes into this book before the monotone narration drove me insane! Thank goodness I got this book for free. This narrator has less emotion than a computer to voice reading. The story that I suffered through to the 10 minute mark was seeming to be quite interesting but, the misery of such a monotone sound just made it unbearable. Please someone just change the narration for everyone’s sanity.

Historia
While the Battle of Berlin in 1945 is widely known, the horrific story of the Halbe Kessel remains largely untold. In April 1945, victorious Soviet forces encircled 80,000 men of the German 9th Army in the Halbe area, South of Berlin, together with many thousands of German women and children. The German troops, desperate to avoid Soviet capture, battled furiously to break out toward the West, where they could surrender to the comparative safety of the Americans.

This is extremely gruesome
Revisado: 04-09-19
If you don’t like hearing about women being raped or blown to bits every so often, I would suggest you not get this book. It goes in detail and is a bit disturbing. Yes I get that an artillery shell hit a burned out truck with women and children in it, but I don’t care to hear about how mangled the corpses were. Oh and the constant reminder that all the women will get raped by the soviets and then executed. It’s honestly just irritating after the 3rd time being reminded about it or description of the rapes and their corpses. The fighting in this book is honestly boring. It’s just RUN! Followed by exploding people everywhere. A few lackluster tank fights don’t make this any better. So in summary! If you don’t want to hear about the affects of artillery on women and children over and over, then don’t get this book. There are many other books that do a far superior job of telling a war story.

Rebel Scum!
Revisado: 09-13-17
Sure it's about a petty rebel band, but it's Star Wars so even a die hard Imperial like myself thoroughly enjoyed it. Great storytelling and of course rebels die so that makes it grand. In any case a good book. Long Live the Emperor, Long live the Empire!
