Historia
Years before the name Alex Murdaugh was splashed across every major media outlet in America, local South Carolina journalist Mandy Matney had an instinct that something wasn’t right in the Lowcountry. The powerful Murdaugh dynasty had dominated rural South Carolina for generations. No one dared to cross them.

Sexism
Revisado: 12-01-23
I have been a long time listener to MMP and a big fan of Mandy’s. This book is not at all what I expected. I believe that the book was marketed as a book about the Murdaugh murders. In reality it is a memoir. I enjoyed getting to know Mandy a little better through this book, but I believe she exposed parts of her that we’re not flattering in my opinion. Mandy seems to think that everything boils down to sexism. There are other reasons for unfair treatment. I know it was a great feat to write this book, however, in retrospect, I don’t know that I wanted to know this much about Mandy Matney.
I really wish I could give a higher star rating to this book,.

Historia
In the turbulent summer of 1974, Kate Mularkey has accepted her place at the bottom of the eighth-grade social food chain. Then, to her amazement, the "coolest girl in the world" moves in across the street and wants to be her friend. Tully Hart seems to have it all - beauty, brains, ambition. On the surface they are as opposite as two people can be: Kate, doomed to be forever uncool, with a loving family who mortifies her at every turn.
