I always enjoy King's writing, but this book seemed like a personal soap box for Covid and polital beliefs. I still enjoyed the story line, but King portrays Republicans as idiots or evil.

Painfully stupid

I cannot think of a single thing I liked about this book. I love psychological thrillers/horror novels. This is definitely neither of those. I go through 3 books a month and have written only one review on a book. This will be my second. If you are looking for a thriller/plot twist, look elsewhere. This book was so dull. I kept hanging on thinking it had to get better. Alas, the book was a huge let down. But at least it’s finally over.

Nail biting out of boredom

I have not written very many reviews on books. However, I am very disappointed with this book. It got such high reviews, but it is beyond me why. I’ve listened to a multitude of books, mostly thrillers. Some good, some great, some leaving me aching to hurl my phone out the car window. There is nothing exciting nor thrilling about this story. It drones on and on, and I kept thinking...surely this will get better. It didn’t. Don’t waist your time.

Wow! Reader beware!

I have listened to so many books on audio and have never written a review. I was growing bored of the "psychological thrillers" because I always seemed to guess the twist. And I thought I knew exactly where this book was going after about half way through. But, I was wrong. This is a dark, disturbing book. But it is impossible to put down.
