My mother introduced me to your serise when I moved to SC to be with family. Over this last year I have relistened to the whole serise everytime a new book hits Audible. I related to Bethany Ann from page 1 of death becomes her. Like her I am terminal with ALS, was raised in a military family. Your characters have a believability and depth like my favorit Authors. Thank you for creating a universe I enjoy, I hope to play there, even if it is only in fan fiction. Flesh to the Back Story.

Neither Kim Harrison nor Marguerite Gavin disappoint. I am in love with this series. Tantalizing glimpses of the back story are woven through out the Hallows Series. I am excited to finally get to know that story and how everything is interwoven. A great yarn. Only one problem. Now I have to wait for the next book.

I loved it. I actually yelled out loud ,"No you don't, you sorry excuse for worm food!" when Duke was asking the physicist how to tear apart a mist. The performance had my attention and kept my focus (this is a hard thing to do.). Thank You! For bringing this book to life. Great Performance!

Would you listen to Dies the Fire again? Why?

I've read the books and now I'm enjoying listening to them. Stirling involves you in the lives of his characters and then takes you on a journey into possibilities. He shows us the best and the worst of humanity and the consequences of actions. He's a great storyteller.

Would you consider the audio edition of Ghost Story: The Dresden Files, Book 13 to be better than the print version?

When I read any of the Dresden Files, I hear James Marsters narrating. John Glover does a nice job but in my mind Marsters is Dresden. The book comes alive for me. I want the next installment. I did something very fanish. I listened to all the books in sequence over the holidays. They were my little escape and sanity keepers.
I love the relationships the characters have. None are one dimensional.

A good Guilty Pleasure

What made the experience of listening to Lover Awakened the most enjoyable?

Jim Frangione gives a wonderful performance. The story is quick paced and well done. You care about the characters. It is a bromance with some steamy sex scenes and that is what makes it a guilty pleasure.

What was your reaction to the ending? (No spoilers please!)

A tad predictable but satisfactory and fulfilling

Where Melissa comes into her awareness of herself as an individual.
