AMAZING!!!
Revisado: 11-17-23
another masterpiece! like every book Mr. album has written it is worth reading a dozen times over! I'm completed my first within four days of its release and I'll complete my second in less time than that! full of tears, both of sorrow and joy! Mr. album's, unique perspective online makes for some of the most entertaining stories I've ever heard! and this book is no exception! while I chose to use audible to enjoy this book, i have also purchased a written copy and plan to read it. The way Mr. album rights, the words flow off the page and are easy for anyone to read and enjoy someone with a reading impairment like myself! I anxiously await his next story just as much as I did this one!

Historia
When Randy Pausch, a computer science professor at Carnegie Mellon, was asked to give such a lecture, he didn't have to imagine it as his last, since he had recently been diagnosed with terminal cancer. But the lecture he gave - "Really Achieving Your Childhood Dreams" - wasn't about dying. It was about the importance of overcoming obstacles, of enabling the dreams of others, of seizing every moment (because "time is all you have... and you may find one day that you have less than you think").

Somebody once said that a man that knows when he will die, is a man wise beyond death...
This statement rings true with this. book.

Revisado: 11-02-23
I have never been a very big fan of romance novels as a genre. In fact, I probably wouldn't have picked this book up if I hadn't already listened to Nicholas Sparks book 3 weeks with my brother. But I'm glad that I did! One of the most profound love stories I've ever heard. sad at times and happy at others! Make sure you have some Kleenex nearby for the end!

Historia
The stuff of conspiracy theories makes for great, entertaining stories in movies, books, and television. And there is no shortage of subjects: from who really killed JFK to the truth behind 9/11. And then, there are subjects from alien invasions to the Moon landing was simulated - theories that are truly out of this world, which according to some, is flat. Many of these crazy concepts have jumped off the pages or screens to become so pervasive in our culture that thousands - even millions - subscribe to them as reality.

Revisado: 10-19-23
probably one of the best lecture series I've listened to since opening my audible account! not only does the author describe what a conspiracy is and how do I identify it? but he also makes the clear distinction between a legitimate actual conspiracy and flagrant and absurd conspiracy theories. in addition to this, he also gives a thorough explanation of how to identify them and even gives a detailed history of why things are the way they are. far more than the title of this lecture series would lead you to believe. highly recommend listening for anyone who wants to begin the process of removing their blinders!

We're all getting older every day, and scientific research has shown that starting in our 20s, some brain functions begin a linear decline. But is old age all doom and gloom? Not at all! While it's true that some functions in the aging brain decline, neuroscientists have discovered that many other brain functions remain stable - or even improve - as we age.

Throughout these lectures, Professor Koester focuses on what John actually wrote. what his situation tells us about his meaning, how that meaning can be applied to our own lives, and how contemporary biblical scholars relate Revelation to the modern world.

informative and clarifying
Revisado: 01-21-23
I can honestly say that I didn't know anything about the subject of Revelations prior to listening to this lecture. now that being said I thought I knew but I had no idea. everything I thought I knew or have been taught over the years is completely false all the way down to the actual meaning of the word apocalypse! whether or not you are a theological scholar or if you're just a Christian lay person I would recommend listening to this lecture series if for anything the soul benefit of having a well-rounded knowledge base.

Would you like to know how the universe works? Scientists have been asking that question for a long time and have found that many of the answers can be found in the study of particle physics, the field that focuses on those impossibly tiny particles with unbelievably strange names - the hadrons and leptons, baryons and mesons, muons and gluons - so mystifying to the rest of us.

chock full of scientific topics, experimental research and historical reference. subject matter is a little bit difficult to follow but worthwhile to listen. the best feature of this likes your series is that despite the fact that mathematics is an integral part of the subject the lecture there's a good job of not getting lost in the math and sticks to the general subject of the science.

A modern work of philosophy!
Revisado: 01-03-23
Albeit written 40 years ago, this book represents a philosophical writing on the level with the great great philosophers of thousands of years ago! someday mankind will look back on this writing with reference themselves that these words were written by a man ahead of this time! well not the greatest source of scientific education material covered in this text is a culmination of scientific knowledge and a presentation of what that knowledge means to mankind! quite possibly the most entertaining aspect of this book is that it was written nearly 40 years ago and with regard to some aspects mankind has made stunning advancements beyond that that the author witnessed! very enjoyable and highly recommended!
