Such an honest depiction of being a working mom. Tori is just like all us moms trying to balance life, work, mommy hood and being a good partner. I know this was written in 2010 and to see the headlines now about her Dean in 2023 just saddens me. I loved their show. But like real life, real life happens. Great listen.

I've watched a few of Columbus Short movies and I throughly enjoyed him on Scandal. And yes, I did see the multiple headlines of domestic abuse as well. I'm glad that he did get to tell his side of the story, however; he made headlines again in February 2022 for another domestic abuse headline with his 'new love/wife'. How many headlines does that make now? And please note, this book was published in 2020.
Anyway, I gave the performance 3 stars because he read way to fast for my liking.

His imitations are on point, and his ability to capture the essence of his memories from way back when, when they occurred, is phenomenal!! Brava for getting down to the nitty gritty of raising children. Thanks for your poignant and downright honest approach on the matter. Your Grandmother would be so proud!!!

This story is so profound, intriguing, enlightening, and excellently persecuted by Kevin Hart. As a young girl I had heard stories about this, but they were always vague. Kevin Hart's thought provoking - tell it like it is - approach, has you wondering "Are we doing enough for each other to better humanity?"
I thought his performance, the music, the live interviews, and news clips brought the story to life and it has made a big impact on my life.

Truly A Gem of a Performance!!!

I love John Leguizamo and all his performances. I laughed, and laughed and then shed a tear or two as he described his setbacks, anger, depression and his love/hate relationship with his father. Listening to his story made me realize that you have to be you. No matter what the obstacles, or setbacks, you have to live your truth. Not for others, but for you. The bonus interview at the end was a nice touch.
