Obviously, this Brook is already proven as one of the masterpieces of our time in my humble opinion I did feel like the end was a little rushed, but well done.

Not his best work
Revisado: 11-18-20
This is one of those books you start Reading and wish you had not.A huge turn off was that the author would make disparaging remarks political statements strong opinions regarding elected officials by name. Rejecting I un-needed and sarcastic ongoing remarks to the same affect. I should’ve deleted the book at that point however after me halfway and I decided to finish the story was weak background was less and the finish was less than satisfying
Regrettably after reading 30+ books by this authorI will no longer be supporting this author due to his need to interject his political views into what used to be pretty good stories.

Very disappointing.
Revisado: 11-12-20
I will probably read anything Stephen press field writes just for his prior works in the hope that something might be as good. This book fell so short of the mark I cannot believe it was written by the same author. The story narrative is poor background is lacking character development is inconsistent details much to fabricated cannot be a cohesive story to be followed.
Performance matches the story you would be hard-pressed to find a worse combination.

Nobleman, dashing officer, and paragon of selfishness, Captain Jezal dan Luthar has nothing more dangerous in mind than fleecing his friends at cards and dreaming of glory in the fencing circle. Takes awhile to get going... but worth the wait.
Revisado: 11-09-17
Lucky for me I was on a long road trip and needed a story to pass the miles and hours. Book is a bit vague at first but by the end you see a story line develop, most of this first book is spent on character development and much of it is first person monologue. The book is gritty, (which I was looking for) the book swears and tells it how it is something lacking in most other series, I find refreshing and believable. Give it a try and hang in there, even the first 10 hours or so is well written.
