Beware of Technology

I listened to a free copy of this audiobook in exchange for an honest review. I enjoyed this book it was an great listening experience. It is centered around a husband and wife leading the charge to take down big brother as the government seeks to implant a tracking device in every human being under the guise of mandatory vaccinations. The book is filled with many interesting good and bad characters. This book is another painful reminder of the advances in technology and where we could possibly be heading. The narrator did a good job.

Shadows of Africa Review

I received this book free for an honest review and honestly I enjoyed it. I loved the way the men in this special task force bonded and depended on one another, while getting the work they loved done. I did chuckle to myself when the narrator read conversations between the men and their wives. I will definitely look for some other works by this author.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Suffer the Little Children?

The most memorable moment in the book for me was Faith's murder.

My favorite character as performed by Sheila Cavalette is Angelo. Unfortunately Angelo is also one of my least favorite characters

If you could rename Suffer the Little Children, what would you call it?

Although I was disturbed by some of what I listened to, I really enjoyed the storey. It held my interest all the way to the end. I will have to check out some more of this authors work.

This is my first time listening to her work

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I found myself disgusted by Ruth, DC and even Rebecca's father.

The Salvation State was an enjoyable listen. I have never read anything by this author or heard anything by the narrator before. I fell in love with both of their work and will definitely look for some of their other endeavors. If you are looking for a good storey line with great character development you will want to listen to this book.

Jesus; My savior is always MVP, just because of who he is

What does Michael Lenz bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Micheal Lenz's narration made a good book even better.

What insight do you think you’ll apply from Marathon Faith?

Never give up, always cross the finish line. Look to Jesus as the prime example of how to run your race

I expected to be bored with this book. I am so glad that my assumption was wrong; I thoroughly enjoyed this audiobook.

Steele Msystery Trilogy review

What did you like best about Alexander Steele Mystery Trilogy? What did you like least?

I liked the relationship between Steele and his girlfriend and the fact that he solved the mysteries so fast. The stories were so short that there really wasn't much time for me to follow the clues and try to solve the crime myself.

What was your reaction to the ending? (No spoilers please!)

The endings of each storey certainly weren't predictable.

Have you listened to any of Alistair Dryburgh’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

No I never heard him perform before. Although he had a great voice for this book, I thought he could have slowed down a tad bit.

Do you think Alexander Steele Mystery Trilogy needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?

I think he should do a follow-up book with longer stories. Longer stories will give the reader a chance to try to solve the crime before Steele does.

Prelude to World War III

What did you love best about Prelude to World War III?

The book makes you think, worry and be relieved that the book is fiction. Then it made me worry again because terrorist attacks are real these days. I came to the realization that the stage has already been set ?

Who was your favorite character and why?

Henry Stein was my favorite character; I deemed him the good guy.

What does Alex Hyde-White bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

The narrator was a perfect fit for this book. I think his reading made the drama in this book pop a little more.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

I live in New York so the last scene really moved me. A lot of scenes made me shake my head in disbelief but when home is hit, fiction feels real.

Any additional comments?

I enjoyed the book I received for free in exchange for an honest review. As the title suggests, the premise is quite disturbing, however the book worked and is pretty good. It jarred me to think about what could happen in the future and it made me happy that it has not happen yet. I plan on listening again.

What made the experience of listening to Sacrifice and Reward the most enjoyable?

I enjoyed listening to the narrator his voice complemented the storey.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Chirping Cricket was my favorite character. I liked the way he embraced his purpose and tackled his responsibilities in spite of doubt, fear or pain.

Which character – as performed by Jon Reeder – was your favorite?

The performance I liked best was his portrayal of Chirping Cricket's little sister Moon Beam.The voice he chose for her seemed perfect it made me smile.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

Together the weak stand strong.

Any additional comments?

I received a copy of this audio book in exchange for an honest review. I never read a book by Robin Deeter before or listened to a book read by Jon Reeder. I enjoyed the book so much that I will have to search for more work by each of them. A big plus for me is that the book was clean.

Mermaid's Tale Review

Would you consider the audio edition of The Mermaid's Tale to be better than the print version?

What did you like best about this story?

The beauty found here and there among so much violence

What aspect of Susan J Iannucci’s performance would you have changed?

I had to get used to her voice. The more I listened the more I liked it. The beginning sounded really sing songy to me. Overall the performance was good

War, wars and rumors of wars

This genre is pretty new to me. if a variety of fantasy creatures with conflict and battles amongst them is your thing, listen to this book you won't be disappointed.
