Historia
From the time of Ancient Sumeria, the heavy infantry phalanx dominated the battlefield. Armed with spears or pikes, standing shoulder to shoulder with shields interlocking, the men of the phalanx presented an impenetrable wall of wood and metal to the enemy. Until, that is, the Roman legion emerged to challenge them as masters of infantry battle.

I learned quite a bit
Revisado: 05-04-20
It’s a good read with much well presented material. I think the author captured what he wanted to in that he presented the ancient infantry formations in a way that made you understand how they worked from the soldier level in the formation. It’s a bit narrow in scope, but that’s the aim - to place the reader/listener in the middle of particular battles to see how these Southern European military constructs faced off. Well done to the author and I recommend this book.

Historia
Zack Lightman has never much cared for reality. He vastly prefers the countless science-fiction movies, books, and videogames he's spent his life consuming. And too often, he catches himself wishing that some fantastic, impossible, world-altering event could arrive to whisk him off on a grand spacefaring adventure.

Not Ready Player One
Revisado: 04-23-18
Not a bad story...but does not capture the magic of Ready Player One. Tries to, has moments, but just never gets there. It’s worth a try but you likely won’t ever listen to/ read it again. I hope he can get back to game form again but not with this one!

Not Bad
Revisado: 08-15-17
A bit misleading. Definitely not an MBA in a book. But, if really interested in business and business strategy you might like this book. There are some sections that provide some good insight into corporate governance and operations. I especially enjoyed the communications sections.

In-depth look at the Roman World
Revisado: 05-23-17
Not exactly an "easy" listen and not a book I'd recommend for a first time student of the Roman world and culture. However, it's very well researched and includes vast quotes and sources of authentic Roman era writing and clips of period speeches. She explores areas often overlooked in over Roman histories.

Historia
Stephen King returns to the characters and territory of one of his most popular novels ever, The Shining, in this instantly riveting novel about the now middle-aged Dan Torrance (the boy protagonist of The Shining) and the very special 12-year-old girl he must save from a tribe of murderous paranormals. This is an epic war between good and evil, a gory, glorious story that will thrill the millions of hyper-devoted fans of The Shining and wildly satisfy anyone new to the territory of this icon in the King canon.

Excellent
Revisado: 04-30-16
If you are looking for a good "modern" Stephen King novel I think this is it. It's fun to see what happens to one of our favorite characters from the past. Although not as good as his past works, it's still a good yarn. I do hope he considers doing something like this again with other older works.
