Historia
Liv’s happy with life in her thirties. She has two cats, one BFF, and no boyfriend, which is just how she likes it. Plus, she loves working at a not-for-profit software company where she can be her authentically autistic self. This is her happy ever after. But when her beloved firm merges with a repulsive rival, Liv finds herself competing with her sort-of-ex for the top job. Sure, Finn had been Liv’s best friend, with his nerdy good looks and their shared love of Tolkien, but there was that one night, their song, and … well, she doesn’t like to talk about it.

Amazing story & narration
Revisado: 04-14-25
I can’t say enough about this book. Itwas so well written — both funny and representative in a not awkward way. The writer is seriously talented. The narrators were both lovely to listen to. I’ll be listening to this again. I’m only sad I can’t also find the book in book form. So good!

Tale of Hope
Revisado: 03-25-25
I needed this book right now. It was so well written and with that perfect storyteller voice. I cried at one point, unexpectedly, but in a good way. I loved this book.

Historia
The 10 enlightening (and often humorous) lectures of Medieval Myths and Mysteries will show you how far from the “dark” times of legend these centuries were. Uncover the facts about the Knights Templar. Reveal the truth behind the tales of legendary creatures like the Questing Beast and the unicorn. Trace the events of the Black Death and the ways it altered the world in its wake, and much more. With Professor Armstrong, you will dig deep into the ways that later generations reshaped the narrative of the medieval years and perpetuated the myths.

Prof A+

I’ve listened to everything I can find by Dr. Armstrong. She’s a great lecturer — deeply informed, easy to understand, and very engaging. I’ve learned a great deal about her areas of expertise.

Incredibly boring.
Revisado: 09-03-18
Patchette writes beautiful prose, but the story itself is stereotypical as are the characters. Only two of them change. There is so much exposition. There are too many characters that make no sense or are not explored. I found myself struggling to get through the book.
