One of the highlights, and there are many, is a discussion of feudalism before and after the Norman Conquest. Also, the effects of the Viking Invasion. The roll of Christianity on literacy and English History is also explored. One mistake by the guest. Easter day is not the day of crucifixion. That was Good Friday. Easter day was and is celebrated as the day of resurrection.

In this episode Jason Kingsley, CBE is interviewed. Of course he is usually the interviewer. He spins wonderful stories within his answers. He also talks about his multiple roles as CEO, You Tube presenter and author. As different as all those things are, Mr. Kingsley spins them into a whole and very interesting story.

This was a really great podcast. Matthew and Steven asked great questions and received great answers from Jason Kingsley. All three have extensive backgrounds in Medieval History. As well as 2000 AD, British Comics and games. Will need to listen again to be sure I heard it all. Will also enjoy it a second time.

Very interesting book
Revisado: 03-24-23
Just listened to "Egypt's Golden Couple" by John & Colleen Darnell. Very enjoyable. The fictional scenes of Amenhotep III & Tiye and Akhenaten & Nefertiti are a little fanciful, but fun. What is especially interesting is the analysis of the Amarna Art style introduced during Akhenaten's reign. Including an in depth discussion of the religious bases of the changes and how the traditional artistic grid system played a part. The roles of Tiye and Nefertiti are well told. The narration could have been better.
