Excellent time travel mystery

Disappointed

Up to this point, I have *loved* this series. However, this book is just disappointing. A huge portion is taken up by battles with the beasties. A bit of fighting is fine, but I fast-forward through huge portions of the book and missed very little. The normal interactions between the characters were few and far between. The book moved the story forward very little. You can hear the last hour and know almost everything of importance.

I'll try one more book, but if the next one is like this, I won't purchase any more.

Excellent story with very dark tones

Excellent story, but it really should come with trigger warnings for depression and SA. I was on the edge of my seat for the entire book, feeling what the character felt, obsessed to find the answer. It is a fascinating look into pioneer life on the NC coast with a little romance, a lot of anxiety and stress, and an intense mystery.

Only part of the story

AAARRRGGGHHHH! I absolutely hate it when authors cut up a book into multiple installments and call it a series. If you just have to do this, then release them all very quickly together. I will not be buying the rest until the series is completed.

It's a great story filled with spice, action, and awesome characters. Too bad it isn't a whole book.

Delightful Gothic Mystery and Romance

Though not Molly's usual fare, this book is an enjoyable and creepy gothic mystery with all the normal elements: creepy old house out in the boonies, hidden treasure, and ghosts from long past. Add in Molly's snark and wit, and I greatly enjoyed it. The mystery is well done. The romances are natural. The characters are human but enjoyable. It's a great summer read!

Profound

I just finished this book, and I'm not sure how to feel. It's slightly creepy, but mostly it's profound. It is not a light read. It is about death and grief and love. Well worth reading in a contemplative mood

Fun frolic

I love this series! A feisty female lead, a male lead that's attractive in all the right ways, and a fun supporting cast. Can't wait for the next one!
