Historia
For the past twenty-five years, Margaret Atwood has written works of striking originality and imagination. In The Blind Assassin, she stretches the limits of her accomplishments as never before, creating a novel that is entertaining and profoundly serious. The novel opens with these simple, resonant words: "Ten days after the war ended, my sister drove a car off the bridge." They are spoken by Iris, whose terse account of her sister Laura's death in 1945 is followed by an inquest report proclaiming the death accidental.

Good book, TERRIBLE audio!

Worst audio quality I’ve ever heard.
Revisado: 07-29-19
The story and voice acting are great, nothing bad to say about that. But the audio quality is utter garbage, at first I thought it was an effect in the early chapter or some setting I messed up on my speaker. Tonal white noise comes and goes, sometimes a tiny chirping escalates and almost drowns out the narrators voice. But overall the voice audio is very poor and utterly flat.

Historia
In his best-selling A Planet for Rent, Yoss pays homage to Ray Bradbury's The Martian Chronicles and 334 by Thomas M. Disch. A critique of Cuba in the 90s, after the fall of the Soviet Union and the dissolution of the Warsaw Pact, A Planet for Rent marks the debut in English of an astonishingly brave and imaginative Latin American voice.

Depressing but poignant
Revisado: 10-08-18
Excellent taste of a recent sci fi outsider. A planet for rent is an excellent but depressing outlook on the depravities of humanity.

Historia
The Devil comes to Moscow, but he isn't all bad; Pontius Pilate sentences a charismatic leader to his death, but yearns for redemption; and a writer tries to destroy his greatest tale, but discovers that manuscripts don't burn. Multi-layered and entrancing, blending sharp satire with glorious fantasy, The Master and Margarita is ceaselessly inventive and profoundly moving. In its imaginative freedom and raising of eternal human concerns, it is one of the world's great novels.

Historia
God is change. That is the central truth of the Earthseed movement, whose unlikely prophet is 18-year-old Lauren Olamina. The young woman's diary entries tell the story of her life amid a violent 21st-century hell of walled neighborhoods and drug-crazed pyromaniacs - and reveal her evolving Earthseed philosophy. Against a backdrop of horror emerges a message of hope: if we are willing to embrace divine change, we will survive to fulfill our destiny among the stars.

Such a powerful story that reflects our modern political and social landscape. A must read for people that want to do some introspection regarding the American culture.
