Just found it boring with a lackluster storyline
Revisado: 10-26-24
Basically just one battle after the next, very little character building. Everybody is basically killing everybody the entire book with very little substance to the characters and relationships. I did not like this book at all. Will not read any future books.

Very depressing but good book
Revisado: 05-13-24
This story is so sad and just gets more and more sad as you read. I didn’t really like Frankie’s character and all her love loss. So sad.

Missed the Mark
Revisado: 03-12-24
This book really missed the mark. I wish I could pinpoint why I disliked the book so much. The ending was bad. The characters and story lacked depth. I don’t recommend reading it.

Nice story of redemption but overall a boring book
Revisado: 02-05-24
The redemption of the main character was nice but it was a cheesy book. Also the marriage seemed kind of left field considering how little Abra thought about Joshua. Plus it was uncomfortable that they were once adoptive siblings. Honestly didn’t like this book. Her other books are much better and the characters make more sense in her other books.

Historia
When fifteen-year-old Clary Fray heads out to the Pandemonium Club in New York City, she hardly expects to witness a murder - much less a murder committed by three teenagers covered with strange tattoos and brandishing bizarre weapons. Then the body disappears into thin air. It's hard to call the police when the murderers are invisible to everyone else and when there is nothing - not even a smear of blood - to show that a boy has died. Or was he a boy?

So disappointed she made them brother and sister. Relationships lacked depth. Beginning of the book started off ok, but really disliked the book ending. Very anticlimactic.

New York, 1960: For Benny Lament, music is his entire life. With his father’s deep ties to the mob, the Bronx piano man has learned that love and family can get you in trouble. So he keeps to himself, writing songs for other musicians, avoiding the spotlight…until the night his father brings him to see Esther Mine sing. Esther is a petite powerhouse with a gorgeous voice. And when Benny writes a hit song and performs it with her, their collaboration thrusts the duo onto the national stage…and stirs up old issues and new scrutiny that the mob--and Benny--would rather avoid.

Need more variation in narration. Plot is far fetched.
Revisado: 01-15-23
I feel like the narration of the book could have been done better. The characters needed more variation. The narrator just use one tone to read the entire book as opposed to using different voices for different characters. The narration was a little monotone. It took a while to get past the narration. Also the plot seemed a little far fetched and extremely unlikely. How could anyone be shot and so brutally injured and just keep trekking on. Also it doesn’t seem likely that four strangers would ride together on a boat together to chase after human traffickers. Not practical or reasonable.
