Fusion Bag of Holding
Revisado: 07-31-24
Martial TransFusion, the fifth installment in Jonathan Brooks' Magical Fusion series, is a LitRPG odyssey that continues to enchant and captivate. Narrated by the talented Miles Meili, this book takes us deeper into the mystical world of Androthe, where our protagonist, Larek, faces his most daunting challenges yet.
After his perilous journey across the Sealance Empire and the deserts of Lowenthal, Larek returns to a kingdom altered beyond recognition. Calamities have ravaged the land, and the people he once knew are scattered and stripped of their memories. The stakes are higher than ever as Larek must navigate through this transformed realm to reunite with his loved ones.
Brooks masterfully crafts a narrative that is as much about personal growth as it is about epic battles and magical exploits. Larek's evolution from a powerful Fusionist to a warrior in his own right is a compelling arc that resonates with anyone who has ever had to adapt to survive. The 'Martial TransFusion' Larek undergoes is not just physical but also deeply metaphorical, symbolizing the inner strength one must find in the face of adversity.
The LitRPG elements are skillfully woven into the story, with character progression and statistics enhancing the immersive experience without overwhelming it. The emphasis on crafting adds a layer of complexity and satisfaction, as readers witness the ingenious solutions Larek devises to overcome obstacles and creates the fusion 'Bag of Holding'.
What sets this book apart is its commitment to clean storytelling. Brooks ensures that the focus remains on the adventure and the characters' journeys, steering clear of explicit content and harem clichés that often pervade the genre. This makes Martial TransFusion a refreshing read for both young adults and seasoned fans of fantasy.
In conclusion, Martial TransFusion is a triumph of imagination and spirit. It's a tale that reminds us that sometimes, the greatest battles are fought within, and the truest form of magic is the kind we find in ourselves. As we eagerly await the next chapter in Corrupted SufFusion, we celebrate the journey thus far and the lessons learned along the way. Jonathan Brooks has indeed penned a saga that will be remembered and revered in the annals of LitRPG literature.

After the Assimilation System inadvertently outed Thaden as a Contender, as well as confirming that he was at the top of most of the Rankings, the Lifewarden has to leave the town of Ashcleft as soon as possible. Why? Because with his Level being over 21, he can now be attacked by other Contenders with a lower Level than him; they are eager to bring him down so that they’ll have a chance at the top spot, which will guarantee that their families back home on Earth will be safe.

A Healer's Journey Through Peril and Power
Revisado: 07-11-24
Jonathan Brooks continues to enchant and captivate with the second installment of his Earthen Contenders series, "Unprepared Healer." This LitRPG Isekai adventure follows Thaden, the Lifewarden, who, after being exposed as a top contender, must flee the town of Ashcleft. With a level over 21, Thaden becomes a target for other contenders, sparking a thrilling escape and a journey into the unknown expanses of Tarth.
Brooks masterfully expands the world-building in this sequel, introducing new challenges and a deeper exploration of the Assimilation System that governs the contenders' fates. The stakes are higher, the battles more intense, and the strategic depth of Thaden's abilities is put to the test. Readers will find themselves on the edge of their seats as Thaden navigates a world where not only monsters and dungeons pose a threat but also other contenders eager to usurp his position.
Miles Meili returns to narrate this tale, bringing life to Brooks' vivid world with a performance that captures the essence of each character and the tension of Thaden's plight. His voice acts as a perfect conduit for the story's blend of action, strategy, and fantasy.
Critics and fans alike praise "Unprepared Healer" for its unique take on the LitRPG genre, focusing on a non-offensive class protagonist who relies on wit and resourcefulness rather than brute force. The book has garnered a strong following, evident from the glowing reviews and high ratings it has received.
As the story progresses, Thaden's character development is a highlight, showcasing a depth that resonates with readers. His journey is not just about survival but also about understanding his place in the world of Tarth and the responsibilities that come with power.
"Unprepared Healer" is a testament to Brooks' ability to weave complex narratives and create a world that feels both expansive and intimate. It sets a high bar for the next book in the series, leaving readers eagerly anticipating the continuation of Thaden's adventure in "Earthen Contenders, Book 3."
In conclusion, "Unprepared Healer: Earthen Contenders, Book 2" is a must-read for fans of the fantasy and LitRPG genres. It's a story that combines the thrill of competition, the complexity of world-building, and the heart of a character-driven narrative into an experience that is both immersive and exhilarating. Jonathan Brooks has indeed crafted a series that stands out in a crowded field, and "Unprepared Healer" is a shining example of his storytelling prowess.

A Stellar Continuation
Revisado: 12-14-23
If you're a fan of epic fantasy, action-packed adventure, and complex characters, you need to check out the Guardian of Aster Fall series by David North. I've been hooked on this series since the first book, and I'm happy to say that the fifth installment, Path of Stars, does not disappoint.
Path of Stars picks up where the fourth book left off, with our heroes facing new dangers and challenges as he learns of the history fo the Astral Titans, and begins his path.
The book is full of crafting and battles, surprises and revelations, as we learn more about the history and secrets of Aster Fall, the mysterious realm where the guardians draw their power from. We also get to see more of the diverse and fascinating cultures and lands that make up this richly imagined universe.
But what really makes this book stand out is the character development. The author does a masterful job of making us care about each and every one of his protagonists, even when they make mistakes or disagree with each other. He shows us their hopes and fears, their strengths and weaknesses, their joys and sorrows. He makes us root for them, cry for them, and cheer for them. He also gives us some insight into the villains' motivations and backgrounds, making them more than just evil caricatures.
The book is narrated by John Pirhalla and Stephanie Nemeth-Parker, who do an excellent job of bringing the characters and the story to life. They have distinct and expressive voices for each character, and they convey the emotions and nuances of the scenes with skill and passion. They also have great chemistry and timing, making the dialogue flow smoothly and naturally.
Path of Stars is a thrilling and satisfying continuation of the series that will leave you wanting more. Luckily, the story continues in Echoes of War (Guardian of Aster Fall Book 6), which I can't wait to read. If you haven't started this series yet, do yourself a favor and give it a listen. You won't regret it.

A Thrilling Dive into a Magical World
Revisado: 09-18-23
I have been a fan of the Guardian of Aster Fall series since the first book, and I have to say that Astral Threads is the best one yet! David North has outdone himself with this epic fantasy adventure that takes the characters and the readers to new heights of excitement, danger, and wonder.
The story picks up right where the previous book left off, with the rebuilding of the Moonlight Relic as they uncover some of its lost history and hidden surprises.
The plot is fast-paced and full of surprises, twists, and turns. I was hooked from the first chapter and couldn't put it down until the end. The action scenes are well-written and thrilling, with vivid descriptions and realistic consequences.
The characters are what make this series so special, and Astral Threads does not disappoint. We get to see more of their personalities, backgrounds, relationships, and motivations. They are all flawed and realistic, but also heroic and likable.
The narration by John Pirhalla and Stephanie Nemeth-Parker is superb, as always. They bring the characters to life with their voices, emotions, and accents. They also do a great job of switching between different characters and keeping the listener engaged.
Astral Threads is a must-read for fans of the series, and for anyone who loves fantasy, adventure, and magic. It continues to move the story forward I can't wait for the next book, Path of Stars!

Keeps You Hooked
Revisado: 08-03-23
I've been a fan of Jake Brannigan's Divine Progression series since the first book, and I was eagerly waiting for the second one to come out on Audible. I'm happy to say that Soulseer did not disappoint. It's a thrilling and immersive LitRPG adventure that follows the protagonist, Alex, as he continues as a Town Guard.
The narration by Neil Hellegers is superb. He brings the characters to life with distinct voices and emotions, and he captures the excitement and tension of the action scenes. He also does a great job of conveying the humor and sarcasm that are sprinkled throughout the book.
One of the things I love about this series is the balance between the game mechanics and the story. The author does a fantastic job of explaining the rules and systems of the world, without making it feel like an info dump. The level-ups, skills, items, and quests are all integrated into the plot and the character development. The book also introduces some new twists and challenges that keep things fresh and interesting.
The characters are another strong point of this series. Alex is a relatable and likable protagonist, who has a realistic mix of strengths and flaws. He's not overpowered or perfect, but he's smart, resourceful, and determined. He also has a good sense of humor and a moral compass that guides him through his choices. The supporting characters are also well-developed and diverse, each with their own personality, backstory, and motivation. The interactions between them are realistic and engaging, ranging from friendship and romance to rivalry and betrayal.
The book ends with a satisfying conclusion that wraps up some of the main plot threads, but also leaves some questions unanswered and hints at what's to come in the next installment. I can't wait to find out what happens next in Alex's journey, and I highly recommend this series to anyone who enjoys LitRPG, fantasy, or sci-fi genres.

Revisado: 05-04-23
I loved this book! Bibliomancer is the first book in the Wolfman Warlock series by James Hunter and Dakota Krout, two of my favorite authors in the LitRPG genre. The book is narrated by Nick Podehl, who does an amazing job of bringing the characters and the world to life. The story follows Jack, a bibliomancer who can use the power of books to create magic. He is also a werewolf, which makes him a rare and powerful hybrid in a world where supernatural creatures are hunted by the government. Jack joins a secret organization of rebels who are fighting to protect the rights and freedom of all supernaturals. Along the way, he meets new friends, enemies, and allies, and discovers secrets about his past and his destiny. The book is full of action, humor, and creativity. The authors have crafted a unique and immersive magic system based on books and genres, and the plot is fast-paced and engaging. The characters are well-developed and likable, especially Jack, who is witty, loyal, and badass. I highly recommend this book to anyone who enjoys LitRPG, urban fantasy, or just a fun and thrilling adventure. I can't wait for the next one!
