It is said that the right man in the right place at the right time can mean the difference between victory and defeat. This is the dramatic story of 68 soldiers in the US Army's Second Ranger Battalion, Company D - "Dog Company" - who made that difference, time and again. America had many heroes in World War II; however, few can say that, but for them, the course of the war would have been very different. The right men, the right place, the right time - Dog Company.

I loved every minute of this story. The narration is clear, easy to understand and appealing to anyone who regularly listens to books about war. The battles described are familiar and the author took the time to fully develop the characters so that by the time the book wraps up you find yourself longing for more information about these men who fought for our freedoms during WWII.

Why is The Book of Enoch so important to anyone interested in Biblical history? The answer is simple: It is directly quoted in the New Testament by Jude (vv.14-15). Themes of the book referenced in 2 Peter 2:1. Jesus also used content from The Book of Enoch in many of his sermons in Matthew and Luke. In this text, you will hear the word of God through this amazing document. We will take this amazing journey together and learn why this text is not an official book of the Bible.

RB3 did an excellent job communicating the findings of The Book of Enoch. I've listened to several versions and this one by and large was the best. The narrator used a tempo conducive to learning. I would but hesitate to buy this or any other RB3 book.

In this plainspoken but eloquent narrative, we live each minute at MacDonald's side, sharing in all of combat's misery, terror, and drama. How this green commander gains his men's loyalty in the snows of war-torn Europe is one of the most unforgettable war stories of all time.

I listened to the book 4x before claiming I was finished with it because there are parts of it where the narrator speaks too fast and key information is lost. The storyline itself is well told and the performance is gripping. If you're looking for your next listen and you want an entertaining story that dives into and develops the characters, then this one may work for you. I'll most likely listen to it again in a few weeks just to make sure I got it all.

Historia
The story of the Battle of Saipan has it all. Marines at war: on Pacific beaches, in hellish volcanic landscapes in places like Purple Heart Ridge, Death Valley, and Hell's Pocket, under a commander known as "Howlin' Mad." Naval combat: carriers battling carriers from afar, fighters downing Japanese aircraft, submarines sinking carriers. Marine-army rivalry. Fanatical Japanese defense and resistance. A turning point of the Pacific War. James Hallas reconstructs the full panorama of Saipan in a way that no recent chronicler of the battle has done.

The narration on this story was excellent. He was easy to understand and the volume and tempo were perfect and in time with the tempo of the story. Overall, the story was told well and worth every penny or credit spent. I'm a WWII history buff and I cross referenced the events in this book to events told in other events and found they matched as close as could be expected. 5 Stars!

Historia
The Rifle is the inspirational story of a 28-year-old US Marine, Andrew Biggio, who returned home from combat in Afghanistan and Iraq, full of questions about the price of war. He found answers from those who survived the costliest war of all - WWII veterans. It began when Biggio bought a 1945 M1 Garand Rifle, the most common rifle used in WWII. When Biggio showed the gun to his neighbor, WWII veteran Corporal Joseph Drago, it unlocked memories Drago had kept unspoken for 50 years.

Historia
The Marine Corps is known for its heroes, and Lieutenant General Lewis B. Puller has long been considered the greatest of them all. His assignments and activities covered an extraordinary spectrum of warfare. With his bulldog face, barrel chest (which earned him the nickname Chesty), gruff voice, and common touch, Puller became - and has remained - the epitome of the marine combat officer. Author Jon Hoffman has been given special access to Puller's personal papers as well as his personnel record. The result will unquestionably stand as the last word about Chesty Puller.
