Historia
The four Gospels are foundational to Christianity. Yet Christian readers are often puzzled by the differences between the Gospels, preferring to harmonize the four into a single narrative. Now, this 24-part lecture course invites you to understand each Gospel's distinctive message. Along the way, you will examine theories about how the three Synoptic Gospels are related. You will also learn why the evangelists are symbolized by four living creatures: the man or angel, the lion, the ox, and the eagle.

This course is a masterpiece. Prof. Ian Boxall clearly has a knack for combining scholarly insights with an engaging presentation. This is a comprehensive course covering each of the four gospels. By comparing each account of Jesus' life and ministry, Professor Boxall is able to illustrated multiple perspectives. I find his examples and points clear & well organized. Each lecture hangs together and supports the overall structure of the course. As a Catholic, I am grateful the Church has scholars like Prof. Boxall to help us learn more about scripture and our faith. You will learn a great deal from this course.

Historia
Is there other intelligent life in the universe, or are we all alone? Now you can explore this question through 17 compelling conversations with leading experts on extraterrestrial life. The prospect of alien intelligences has long captivated cosmologists, perplexed theologians, and provided rich fodder for science fiction writers. While we may doubt that the large-eyed, green-skinned figures of sci-fi films will one day descend to Earth in UFOs, it is far harder to reject wholesale the possibility that intelligent life - in some form yet unknown - exists.

Fascinating!
Revisado: 12-18-19
In this series, Kuhn brings together a group of leading experts to discuss one of the biggest possible questions, are we alone in the universe? It's helpful to hear from such thoughtful people about the science and philosophical dimensions to this important question. I find his discussions lively, information-packed and well-balanced.

Historia
A captivating 24-lecture audio series on the US Constitution by award-winning law professor David L. Hudson Jr. Written more than 200 years ago, the Constitution remains the backbone of American government and an example of freedom and democracy the world over. Once called the “Miracle at Philadelphia,” it remains America’s vital governing force today. Your audio course will begin in the summer of 1787, as the Founding Fathers met to revise the Articles of Confederation, then explore the ratification process and James Madison’s championing of the Bill of Rights.

Outstanding presentation!
Revisado: 12-18-19
Professor Hudson is one of the most erudite, engaging professors I've ever heard. In this series, he spans the creation of the constitution, its structure, and amendments as well as the major court cases that shaped American law and history. Throughout, his presentations are lively and fascinating. I especially enjoy the anecdotes about the real people and events seem to give you a front row seat to history.

Distinctive, thoughtful and engaging
Revisado: 12-18-19
Unlike most U.S. foreign policy works, this lecture course covers the full span of U.S. engagement with the word, from the country's early history through current events. I found this broad context especially helpful. Brigham argues persuasively that America has always been internationally engaged. Through a combination of foresight, luck, and stumbles, this engagement evolved and expanded. This course contains many aha moments and one realizes why leaders behaved as they did, and how big the U.S. came to take on superpower status. I highly recommend this series to those interested in a balanced and careful examination of U.S. history on the world stage. Brigham is a fine lecturer and I found the pacing right and enjoyed his presentation.
