I volunteered for an ARC of the series in exchange for an honest review.

This one might be my favorite of the whole series so far.

As the name implies Charlie is a king. He's everything you could want in a king- he's compassionate, shows mercy and kindness, he is just, he leads by example and he makes a pretty good sandwich!

Bawb continues to be my favorite character. If Bawb got his own series I'd be a seriously happy camper!

As a reader there are some authors that when they come out with something new you can't wait to get your hands on it. Scott Baron is one of those authors for me. I've pretty much loved all his stories. I know going into it- it'll have quirky characters that will speak to me, a twist I wasn't expecting and there will be parts that are so out loud funny I'll wake my husband up next to me and it'll be a fun escape from everyday life.

This was everything it promised to be- I'm thankful not to have to wait that long for the next in this series to come out

I feel like a kid who's getting away with something. I was asked if I wanted to read an advanced copy of this series- the request went a bit like this...
Here's this book full of all your favorite things
aliens, wampehs, things blowing up, nobody falling in love and having sex, and coffee.
Do you want to read it early before anyone?
ALWAYS!

It was everything promised and more. Charlie's series is probably my new favorite. If for no other reason then the scene when Charlie introduces Leila to the wampeh.

This was a great continuation of the story, it furthered the story while having it's own feel with the ending leaving you looking forward to more. And it was so funny! Just looking back over my highlights cracks me up. There were so many great parts, it's hard to share them without spoiling some important part to the story.

Last year i read all of Charlie's series, I'm starting over now listening to the audio versions. I'm enjoying them just as much and I've come to love the narrator as well. He seems like he's really understanding Charlie and his Ara voice this time is more what i had in my own head when i read them

You know that old commercial about the peanut butter cups with the two people going along and run into each other- hey! You got your chocolate in my peanut butter!
Then it turns out that the best combination ever?!

This is the same thing. The perfect marriage between space fiction and magic. And just like peanut butter cups it's the best thing ever!

Charlie is the quintessential intergalactic boy scout - who's a little hard up on luck. The good kind of luck- because he's got an abundance of the bad kind.

Charlie gets roped into a training run that takes an unexpected turn when the ship and crew get sucked into Einstein-Rosen bridge. It doesn't end we'll for poor Charlie
He's going to need some big konus to get out of this mess.

For me personally- this book should be ranked- shut up and take my money! I loved the story so much ( I was even skeptical about the magic element, and it's brilliant). My favorite character shows up in chapter 30. Anytime a writer adds one of those, I'm there ( wampeh needs it's own genre is all I'm saying!)
And it's funny- there are parts I highlighted- and just reading part of the sentence is enough to crack me up all over again.
Everybody needs this sort of escape in their life.
